So far as I can tell, the only mistake Cliven Bundy made was using the archaic term "Negro." And the only reason that term is archaic (Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. used it regularly, look it up) is because about the time I was in junior high school, it was declared archaic by the thought police. We were told that the proper term was "African-American" or "Black."

Bundy is at least half a generation older than I am, so I would guess he never got the memo from the thought police. Or maybe he just doesn't give a damn.

Whatever. How can it be racist to use exactly the same term used by St. Martin Luther King, Jr.?

"Negro" is now almost the equivalent in politically correct circles of the other "N" word. It is apparently OK for use by the United Negro College Fund. "Colored People" is in the same category, being kept around for the exclusive use of the NAACP.

Under no circumstances must white people use any terms that are exclusively for the use of black people in their everyday speech. Or screen writers like Tarantino.
