Well, it looks like a respected Japanese business newspaper is reporting that a major Japanese corporation is going forward with commercialization of a LENR process, which they report is displaying transmutation effects.

I thought I would have seen this earlier, but Kevmo appears to have been banned for some reason.

Sorry to bother you guys. I was wondering if you read Japanese well enough to verify that the Nikkei article about Mitsubishi and Low Energy Nuclear Reactions actually says what New Energy Times claims it says.

The researchers put the source material that they want to convert on top of the multi-layer film, which consists of alternately laminated thin films of calcium oxide and palladium. The thin metal layers have a thickness of several tens of nanometers. Elements are changed in atomic number in increments of 2, 4 and 6 over a hundred hours while deuterium gas is allowed to pass through the film.

So all they need to do is place thousands of tons of contaminated material on top of these thin layers of material? I wonder how long this will take?

Going forward? The article quotes the researchers saying it is only in the research stage. Other statements say the amount is so small it doesn’t prove anything. The researchers say they will have to build a bigger unit to get enough mass to prove the results which they have no idea why it happens.
