Today the US announced more sanctions on individuals, businesses, banks and Gazprom. The one person not targeted is Putin, the alleged perpetrator of the crisis

Haven't we learned anything from sanctions??
Saddam built 50 palaces while the sanctions were on.
Once again, an action involving the Federal Government of the United States becomes all about money. The Federal government isn’t satisfied with stealing our money. Now they are stealing it from foreign nationals as well.
Apparently it’s the only thing the government knows how to do.
I’m confused. If Russian’s Gazprom can’t deal in US dollars, doesn’t it mean the US dollar won’t be the currency used for their international gas sales? I’d think that would hurt the US more than it hurts Russia.
“Apparently its the only thing the government knows how to do.”
That and hoarding all the ammo.
Major Western oil companies like BP and Exxon Mobil have extensive exploration deals in Russia that they fear could be jeopardized if the United States and European Union impose stiffer sanctions on the Putin regime.
Okay, houses on the even side of the street can use the stove on even numbered days........
Sanctions are a tool of crony capitalists. 10s of thousands of waivers are granted by the state department and UN.
Yet another example of the First Law of Obama:
If you disagree with someone, go after them personally.
That’s a very good point I think. And worse, the rest of the world will see how easy it can be to engage in commerce without the (once) mighty greenback.
All we’ll have left is our military power. We all know the implications of that.
And precious little of that thanks to the 0bama regime. Cutting from the outside, hollowing out from the inside.
I am in no way defending Putin or Russia, but could they sanction us??
The whole EU house of cards is going to collapse...we’ll be right back to where we were
Thanks “O”!
Mac daddy just received extra wide red marker pens, Putin is in real trouble now.
Notice how this administration is targeting PERSONALLY, just like they do their perceived enemies in America?
This time, they are going after Timchenko, Putin’s supposed money man.
Several years back, Timchenko was linked to Soros Group, But at some point, there was some kind of major falling-out between many of the Russians who profited after the fall of the Soviet Union, and the Soros Group.
Now, the Soros-backers want Timchenko hurt?

For dumBO, this is personal!
