Inspired by the possibility of a Sarah Palin presidential run, Peter Singleton moved to this suburban community from California in November 2010 and booked an extended stay at the Days Inn on 114th Street. Palin was a tea party queen-maker at the time, and true believers like Singleton could sense a bid for the White House. For the next 10 months, he traversed his adopted state on her behalf, rallying Iowans to the cause.
But there would be no second political act for Palin, and these days many followers like Singleton have moved on. He said Friday at an ice cream social at nearby Faith Baptist Bible College that he still admires the former Alaska governor and follows her on Facebook, but, politically, she holds little sway over him. Singleton didnt even bother to attend Palins Sunday afternoon speech a short drive from here because he disagreed with her endorsement in Iowas Republican Senate primary.
Its one of those things, Singleton said, sticking his hands into the pockets of his leather jacket. I have great respect for her, but this isnt about a person, its about a set of principles and values.

If she’s so ‘diminished’ why do they report on every single thing she does?

Diminished figure, ha... They said that about Churchill during the days they thought he was a nutter condemning the fact England sent some Rolls Royce 12 Cylinder Engines to Nazi Germany and they laughed at him. He was right all along, let us hope history doesn't repeat itself, but if it does, maybe having Her-Diminishedness in the wings wouldn't be a bad thing...
BTW, not a bad article overall, if you go and read it....

Why isnt Jeb Bush considered a diminished figure? After all, he was gov once and now pretty much out of the scene and not have any influence on anyone opinion, so why not write a article about that. Just copy and paste that article and replace Palin with Bush Jeb's the newest GOPe flavor of the month...plus, they don't fear him.

Note to the Washington Post:
Nice try but the people that Sarah resonates with have their own mind and actually use it to draw conclusions and make decisions. A quality your kind sadly lacks.

I would give my left arm to see her debate the Hildebeast666. Unlike the RINO pukes the RINO party will no doubt nominate, Palin wont let Hitlery get away with ANYTHING!!
= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =
And HRC wont be able to ‘run away’ like she did in the Senate primary where she ‘cried’ about Lazio ‘bullying’ her.
But that won’t stop MSM as portraying HRC as some worldly, intelligent, beloved statesman while showing S Palin as some country bumpkin who couldn’t spell Cat if you gave here the K and A .....
Of course if SP is still in the ‘play along’ to get along mode, she will do nothing to embarrass HRC.
SP will take ‘giant steps’ in my mind when she quits ‘backing’ McCain for anything. I don’t expect here to bad mouth or put him down, just quit ‘standing by him’.
Sometimes, silence IS golden.

Dont you just love all the FR subtle negative-to-Palin posting going on here these days. It tugs, tugs, tugs at ones heartstrings, dont you agree? I know, and all these negative-to-Palin posts just fill my mind with doubts!
Oh wait...they're just the frantic rantings of PDS sufferers. Nevermind.

Sarah Palin seems to have a good life. She is living it just the way she wants and has made millions of dollars. Good for her why not.
But she has allowed herself to become less influential by endorsing a string of RINO’s for one thing. Teasing all of her followers for months about a presidential run she never intended to launch didn’t help. IMO she should run for the House or Senate where she can do some real good. Otherwise every year she is going to become less and less a factor except to her die hard fans.

Whoa, I knew that the Brits let the Soviets get hold of jet engine technology which quickly turned into the MiG-15, but selling Rolls-Royce engines to the Nazis!!?
And for the same reason, IIRC. Appeasement.
Works every time.

What we actually have here is an article proclaiming that a woman who isn’t even running for office is finding her political clout diminishing, in an environment wherein her political endorsement is regarded as the Holy Grail on the right. And apparently the author doesn’t perceive the disconnect. That tells you more about him than her.

It was a great show that served to highlight the grandure of Alaska. It was not the Kardashians. Jeez.

Not flame-throwing; just sincere questions:
If you recall what all was going on at that time, much of which we will probably never hear, what should her decision have been? What would you have done?
Remember now, the friv lawsuits were coming daily and her family (not the State of Alaska) had to pay for and mount multiple defenses to multiple suits.
Thanks in advance for your thoughtful response.

A diminished figure? Kind of like the Washington Post, recently sold at a bargain-basement price?
