Poor Mississippi - they just can’t catch a break. Parts are still trying to recover from the last hurricane. Prayers up for these folks.

Last year they had tornado damage, too - Hattiesburg, IIRC.

James Spann. their chief met, is one of the best on severe weather. When Albritton bought ABC 33/40, he was one of the first people they hired; been in the market for decades, knows the area like the back of his hand and viewers turn to him when the weather gets ugly.

He’s also a very vocal critic of man-made global warming.

We went to Pass Christian for a few days in the summer of 2012. Just broke my heart to see how much of their history had been destroyed.

Thanks - I have about another 60-90 mins until we’re under the gun.

Called and found out all of our sales force is safe in Tupelo. Numerous customers took bad hits though.

Thanks - so far so good... the storm I’m watching is currently near Hamilton, AL. A bit further away as a ‘split’ in the lines is developing. Kids’ schools were missed by a tornado maybe 3-4 miles a few minutes ago. Guessing F3 based on radar returns.

Not a good day when Reed Timmer is in my state... also saw live video from another storm chaser literally at my I-65 exit.

Yikes. This is frightening. My first experience with Southern tornadoes was in Tupelo. It went on and on. So sorry to see it hitting there again.

Rotation fell apart on approach. Out of danger now, but also lost power. Lots of damage elsewhere in my county plus 3 reported fatalities.
