Former Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney may take another run at the White House, "Face the Nation" host Bob Schieffer said.

"I have a source that told me that if Jeb Bush decides not to run, that Mitt Romney may actually try it again," Schieffer said during a panel discussion on the CBS Sunday morning news show.

I’m still in the Republican Governors have the best shot at an open Presidential election guy. Cruz may run, and Rand Paul, but if it were up to me, I would back a slightly-less conservative governor with executive experience.

I don’t dismiss a conservative governor because they sometimes had to compromise to govern.

"Romney Loses Nomination Over Dog Abuse? -
Romney was traveling that summer with his wife, five sons,
and Seamus to his parent's cottage on Lake Huron.
But hours into the ride, Seamus apparently suffered diarrhea,
which ran down the back window of the car.
David Kravitz wrote on BlueMassGroup, a liberal blog.
"It also strikes me as classic Romney:
it solves a problem efficiently, in a business-like manner,
and with no regard whatsoever for the suffering
that the solution may cause."

"But the details of the event are more than unseemly
- they may, in fact, be illegal.
Massachusetts's animal cruelty laws
specifically prohibit anyone from carrying an animal
"in or upon a vehicle, or otherwise,
in an unnecessarily cruel or inhuman manner
or in a way and manner which might endanger
the animal carried thereon.

"An officer for the Massachusetts Society
for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals responded
to a description of the situation saying
"it's definitely something I'd want to check out."
The officer, Nadia Branca, declined to give
a definitive opinion on whether Romney broke the law
but did note that it's against state law to have a dog
in an open bed of a pick-up truck, and
"if the dog was being carried in a way that endangers it,
that would be illegal."

If Romney runs again and gets the nomination, he’ll get about half the votes he got last time.

Romney does not want to split the vote with another RINO.

His strategy would be the same as last time. Get Rove to enlists
fake conservatives to split the conservative vote and Cruz through
the primaries.

He does not want another RINO in the race, but he will want every
fake conservative running.

If Romney does run, unless Conservatives unite behind ONE candidate early, Romney will be the nominee again.

Palin/Cruz or Cruz/Palin needs to declare early and clear the field.
_________________________________________________________________________________________________

Exactly! Some of the Conservatives need to take one for the cause and not run until the bitter end. Conservatives MUST unite behind one candidate early.

“I thought Romney’s wife told someone that she didn’t think he really wanted to be president.”

If your assigned role is to lose, it is probably best to run for something you don’t want to win.

Actually it was once, in 1976, and he won the nomination the next time, just like Romney. But nobody has been renominated by his party after losing since Adlai Stevenson lost to Ike twice.

They say Mitt is obsessed with running again. I think he realizes the election was stolen. Even Bill Clinton said he thought Romney was going to win.

Romney would have to ‘run’ against Hillary to win. I’ve seen no sign that he runs against liberals. He runs against conservatives only. He ran against Gingrich but did nothing but make nice with his buddy Obama. So, I’ll ask you — what makes you think he’ll run against Hillary?

What would drive him to actually campaign this time? Ego mainly. That and an electorate that’s going to be more hostile towards dems. Also, there’s none of that “oh my, that evil white man is attacking that black man” nonsense that brain dead, leeching liberals love to spew.

I think a majority of the public will see through Clinton should she start a narrative that resembles “picking on a woman” garbage. Couple her screeching, grating voice with her lackluster record as SOS, virtually any GOP candidate can beat her.

Bush’s name is toxic and Christie screwed up badly in 2012. Those are the only two I can’t see winning.

Again, I don’t want Romney to run. I get the feeling some people suspect that I’m on his side. I’m not. I had a tough time voting for him in 2012. I’m more of a Ted Cruz type. I don’t have it in me to support another one of these run of the mill, moderate GOP types. I want to see a slugfest. I don’t want to see a bunch of new age/new tone rhetoric.

LOL! Romney’s still a liberal and he still loves libs. This time it will be his fear of someone saying mean ol’ evil republican Romney is beating up on lady lib, Hillary. Or they’ll dish out some other liberal spew. Romney only runs against conservatives. He won’t risk upsetting his liberal cocktail party friends, so unless Hillary morphs into Palin, Romney won’t do anything to run against her.

I didn’t have a tough time voting for Romney. I don’t vote for libs, would not vote for Christie or Bush, so the “severe” conservative had zero chance of getting my vote.

“They say Mitt is obsessed with running again”

The RAT Willard Romney is obsessed with power for HIMSELF.

HE alone imposed gay marriage, which is now polygamy.
HE alone forced RomneyCARE on the poor citizens
of Massachusetts.
HE alone gave gays power over children to USE them.

Romney was too weak to attack a black candidate.

He would be weaker attacking a female witch.

No thanks
