Jersey City veered outside of its authority when it devised gun permit applications that required substantially more information than state law allows, an appeals court has ruled.
The information sought by the city includes license plate numbers, prior employers and waivers authorizing the release of any and all information to police, information that is not required by state statute or by New Jersey State Polices own application, the court ruled.

Jersey City has the most thorough gun permit application in the state and we think this is important to make sure guns dont get into the wrong hands,” Mayor Steve Fulop said in a statement from his spokeswoman.”
Your Papers.... Please!!!
That would annoy his Democrat core voting constituencies too much!
New Jersey gun laws have been so stringent for so many years that I doubt even 1% of the guns used in crimes might have been purchased legally in the state.
“Fulop what do you want to do to get guns out the hands of the criminals. /s”
Jersey City at this point is like NYC; not many “Americans” left. I’m glad they were called out on their applications; normally these urban dumps filled with imported “replacement Americans” aren’t concerned about Americans’ rights or the Constitution.
God help those who seek to defend themselves !
Does that mean we are allowed a full magazine ?
or only 7 rounds ?
Fulop is not stupid and must realize that if he wants to "get guns out the hands of the criminals" this exercise on his and Jersey City's part is pointless. However, he also knows that the lie is the path to Bloomberg $$$$$. (Which is, I would think, the whole point.)

Liar.. You KNOW this will not keep criminals from carrying weapons.
Note that if a person moves from New Jersey to Florida and decides he does not want to own a gun (i.e., continues his NJ lifestyle), he is not required to have an anal exam.
However, if that same person moves from Florida to New Jersey, and decides that he wants to keep his gun (i.e., continues his FL lifestyle), he IS required to have an anal exam.
The difference is important because there are HUGE NUMBERS of people that simply will not (or not again) live in blue states because of their gun laws - works out great for Florida and here in Texas - not so good for the blue states, LOL.
In Cuomoland , where the Governor wanted to pre-empt Obama's progressiveism and gain notariety, people can only have 7 rounds for self-defense.
Obviously, the criminals have no such limitation
nor did the armed police who were legally limited to 7 rounds, until there was a modification to the ill-concieved law.
After all , the criminals and are mindful of the law ,
.. the rest of us are relegated to "Potential Victims" status (with 6 empty chambers in the magazine).
