I go to Arkansas twice a year to visit family. Costs me less than $20 to UPS a box there a week before I leave. After I come home my cousin sends it back for me. A lot cheaper than paying baggage fees and I don’t have to schlep anything through the airport.

I would imagine that UPS is more reliable in getting that shipped box to its destination than the airline is in getting a checked bag to its destination.

Probably a lot less chance of theft also.
