I became convinced that Ralph had entered late-stage dementia when he published an 800 page book encouraging people like Oprah to run for President, which included a dead Paul Newman as one of its main characters.

Yes. Ted Cruz is the ONLY conservative US senator.

Perhaps there is common ground for gun control for starters. I can support gun control... for federal bureaucrats and agencies.
Actually, I do think that those with diverse ideological can quite nicely co-exist if we really get back to federalism. If the federal government just managed the common defense, the borders, and regulated interstate commerce and disputes between the states, that would be great. And when I say regulate, that means to make regular and more efficient, not confiscatory taxation schemes and counterproductive rules.
I would love to see a country where we had well run, productive states that created a stark contrast with Leftist fascistic, welfare and police states.

Paul believes that baring something unusual a president should be able to “pick” his team members.

Wow, I have often been criticized for expecting conservative perfection from a candidates, and being too idealistic on Constitutional issues, but even I would have no problems supporting Cruz, Paul, or Lee. At least you’re honest, can’t fault that!

I know that’s what he said. Which tells me all I need to know about Rand Paul. He totally doesn’t get it. 0 is a domestic (or foreign) enemy. Every decision he makes is designed to fundamentally change America.

And there’s nothing unusual being done to America today ( or since, say, 2008 especially)? It’s not like Kerry’s past was a big secret ( like his bosses’ ...)........

Which is more dangerous- a ‘progressive’ who honestly states what they believe in, even if that is a higher minimum wage, ‘green’ power and decriminalization of drugs- or a GOPe RINO who tells us some of what we want to hear around election time and then votes for more of the same clinton/bush/Obama business as usual?

Ralph, like Ron Paul, says what he thinks is the truth, which puts him way over Boner, President Obama, HRC or any of those ilk who will simply say or do anything to get/keep power. Not that they aren’t nuts.

Here is Paul's offical position on illegal immigration

I do not support amnesty, I support legal immigration and recognize that the country has been enriched by those who seek the freedom to make a life for themselves. However, millions of illegal immigrants are crossing our border without our knowledge and causing a clear threat to our national security. I want to work in the Senate to secure our border immediately. In addition, I support the creation of a border fence and increased border patrol capabilities.

Immigrants should meet the current requirements, which should be enforced and updated. I realize that subsidizing something creates more of it, and do not think the taxpayer should be forced to pay for welfare, medical care and other expenses for illegal immigrants. Once the subsidies for illegal immigration are removed, the problem will likely become far less common.

I support local solutions to illegal immigration as protected by the 10th amendment. I support making English the official language of all documents and contracts.

Millions crossing our border without our knowledge constitutes a clear threat to our nation's security. Instead of closing military bases at home and renting space in Europe, I am open to the construction of bases to protect our border.

Libertarians and leftists are a lot closer in ideology than one realizes. That’s why I left the libertarian movement a few years ago. There is a huge difference between libertarians and conservatives. One has to ask, as well, why Rand Paul is okay with ObamaCare all of a sudden...well, it’s been coming along for several months, but he is not fighting it any longer. ObamaCare makes government HUGE! Much bigger than before, so don’t tell me that that he is a small government guy. He has been on every side of the issue possible. Wake up, America and DO NOT BE FOOLED BY RAND PAUL! He is a slippery guy, and I find that one cannot pin him down on anything. He needs to stay “flexible” so that he can say whatever he needs to tell this group or that. Pay attention to him. He is his father on steroids!

Oprah Winfrey has spent her entire life working in the private sector, and she is not a lawyer. Those are great reasons why she could make a great president.

The left is never “placated” and drugs, gay marriage, and all the other leftwing/libertarian social liberalism, only creates more left wing voters and bigger government, 50 years has proven the insanity of thinking that being liberal leads to Evangelical type voters, it does the opposite, it creates an ever larger pool of big government voters.

JFK was no conservative, Ronald Reagan labelled him a Marxist, without him, America would not have become what it did, and be dying off.

The lawyer Nader wants single-payer instead of the current Obamacare. He’s also of Egyptian ancestry and hates Israel, as well as business.

I see Coburn is on there for 100% He voted for John Brennan. He voted for the Rats’ fiscal cliff tax increase. He voted for cloture on funding 0care. That’s off the top of my head. They need to work a little harder.

I agree with Nader that Obama should be impeached. Did Hell freeze over?
