She’s an employee of the federal government. She’s being questioned by her employer about how she carried out her job and whether she disregarded or thwarted government policies and procedures and whether she made her own personal political opinion her guiding criterion. If an employee stonewalls questions of his employee, she can be given a warning and if she does not cooperate, she can be fired for thwarting their investigation.
