Reid Hendricks of Camden, Tenn., and Jim (no last name provided) of Las Vegas take up a position on a hill by Cliven Bundy’s ranch near Bunkerville on Tuesday, April 15, 2014. Hendricks is a former Marine (honorably discharged) and has worked as a police officer and a high school history teacher, he said.

A growing number of Bunkerville residents want to see the armed militiamen guarding rancher Cliven Bundy leave Nevada, according to a letter from Rep. Steven Horsford, D-Nev., to Clark County Sheriff Doug Gillespie.

Horsford, whose congressional district includes Bunkerville, wrote that his constituents are concerned about Bundy supporters carrying weapons near local churches, schools and elsewhere.

Militia members flocked to Nevada to support Bundy in his fight with the government over his refusal to pay fees for his cattle to graze on federal land.

“I urge you to investigate these reports and to work with local leaders to ensure that their concerns are addressed in a manner that allows the community to move forward without incident,” Horsford wrote to Gillespie.

The letter also says militiamen have a presence on state and local roads as well as federal highways. In some areas, according to the letter, militiamen have set up checkpoints where drivers are stopped and asked to provide a proof of residency.

They’ve been seen carrying high-caliber weapons and keep a round-the-clock security detail on Bundy....

They’ll send in a drone and blame it on a “gas explosion”, ammo “stockpile” going up, whatever. With the BATFE investigating the ruins, “no evidence exists” to prove anything but the party line. In OK City and at Waco, the sites (scenes of the crime) couldn’t be destroyed fast enough for those guys.

They’re welcome to try whatever they wish as long as they know beforehand that they’ll have to live with the consequences.

you are right. Now that I recall, that is how they did it at Waco. Put in the gas and started the fire and then accused Koresh of burning the place down. and Immediately cleaned the scene.

They were in a big hurry to bulldoze the Federal Building crime scene in OK City, too. For a site where there allegedly had been unexploded ordnance in the building (Explosive devices were used as the reason to pull back rescuers on at least one occasion, and, iirc, two or three times), it just seemed a mite hasty and something which would destroy evidence—not the actions of someone who is trying to get to the bottom of a crime.

Pete Santilli had Ryan Payne on his show yesterday. Payne is the main organizer for the militia at Bundy Ranch. He said the claims that they were stopping cars at checkpoints are an absolute lie, and that they are so far out in the boondocks that there are no schools and churches, or even neighbors anywhere around. The only time people even see them is if they drive by on the road past the militia campsites, or if they go into town to get supplies, where they do open carry, which is legal in Nevada.

Horsehead is speaking pure crap.

seems like a nice place to camp out for awhile!

That's a great idea for a summer vacation.

Next, they will attempt to smear some militia members as connected to the KKK or Aryan whateverhood...

Wait for it....

This crap is only going to get ratcheted up the closer we get to November.
