KYIV, April 30 /Ukrinform/. Ukraine's acting President, Verkhovna Rada Speaker Oleksandr Turchynov has admitted that the authorities do not control the situation in Donetsk region. He said this during a meeting with heads of regional state administrations in Kyiv on Wednesday. "Administrative buildings have been captured in many cities of Donetsk region and in the city of Donetsk. Today the authorities do not control the situation here," Turchynov said. He also noted that the security forces in the region cannot take the situation under control. "The main reason, of course, is that the security structures in these regions - Donetsk and Luhansk - cannot perform their duty to protect citizens. They are helpless in these matters, moreover, some of these units either contribute or cooperate with terrorist groups," Turchynov said. АМ

I guess the idea of shooting your friends and neighbors doesn’t sit too well with their military.

They'd rather be shooting Ukrainians to assuage the ego of the pan-Russian chauvinists.

Could the killing of those five unarmed people at a checkpoint on Easter morning by gov troops in a tank have been a turning point? It’s pretty obvious who the terrorists were, and what Kiev’s idea of winning over the population is.

The Russians never appear to have a problem with shooting anyone.

They’ve done a great job of killing each other too. And, when the Autocrat of all Russians Everywhere, tells them to attack, they’ll do it.
