NAZI Basketball Association Outlaws Thought Crimes
American Uncensored News Network ^ | April 30, 2014 | Jonathon Moseley

Posted on 04/30/2014 9:03:35 AM PDT by Moseley

On April 29, the Nazi Basketball Association (NBA) managed to become even more offensive than Donald Sterling, owner of the Los Angeles Clippers. This is quite an achievement. The fascist outlawing of private “thought crimes” by the NBA is the only thing that could be more offensive than the racist comments made by Sterling. Sterling is so racist that he is a Jewish man very conspicuously shacking up with a half-Black, half-Mexican girlfriend. (Huh?)

At this very moment, Vladimir Putin’s Russia is silencing dissent. The Russian Duma has just passed Putin’s law regulating bloggers on the internet. Journalists, activists, and critics in Russia have been jailed, ostracized, persecuted, and pushed into bankruptcy. Social media is now illegal in Russia unless the servers are physically operated inside Russia under Putin’s control.

On April 29, a consensus of self-righteous, chest-thumping censorship was widely heard, including even from Ann Coulter and Bill O’Reilly. We are now living in George Orwell’s book 1984 in place of the late, great U.S.A.

The NBA’s actions were condemned by Larry Elder, African-American radio talk show host: The worst thing [Sterling] said was ‘Don’t bring your black friends to the games.’ “The black friends can go, just don’t have em sit next to you. If Magic wants to go, just don’t have him sit next to you’ … for that, he loses his team?”

The NBA did not merely distance itself from controversial comments, such as by demanding a very public apology, but banned Sterling for life, fined him $2.5 million, and began steps to force Sterling to sell his ownership of the basketball team. One should remember that the offensive comments were made in private and released only for the purpose of engineering the controversy at hand.

I bet the ratings for the playoffs are better this year. People are talking about basketball who normally wouldn’t and it’s happening during the playoffs and like you say the playoffs are good so far.

Coming to a basketball franchise near you. The NBA wants to own all of the franchises, and become more than just an organization, diverging froms sports into just fully scripted entertainment.

The recordings of telephone and private conversations are illegal, a crime punishable by prison or fine AND are inadmissible in court. The NBA will be unable to use the recordings it based its decision on. I think that might make defending its actions difficult.

Cal. Penal Code 630-638.

Section 631 makes recording telephone conversations illegal without consent. Section 632 makes recording private conversations illegal without consent. Both go on to state: "Except as proof in an action or prosecution for violation of this section, no evidence obtained as a result of eavesdropping upon or recording a confidential communication in violation of this section shall be admissible in any judicial, administrative, legislative, or other proceeding." Whether these sections apply to recorded private conversations that are not communicated by telephone or cell phones is not clear.

Having your ratings go up while having sponsors flee is a good example of a Pyrrhic victory.

That investigation and case is over. Case is closed!!

It's been brought up several times during this.

I'm just saying, if they booted Sterling, they should have done it years ago about that housing discrimination case. I not only say this but I'd say that is what Kareem Jabbar and some pundits on TV have said. As someone said, this is only happening because the taped phone conversation landed on the front page.

As Kareem Abdul Jabbar wrote:

What bothers me about this whole Donald Sterling affair isn’t just his racism. I’m bothered that everyone acts as if it’s a huge surprise. Now there’s all this dramatic and very public rending of clothing about whether they should keep their expensive Clippers season tickets. Really? All this other stuff I listed above has been going on for years and this ridiculous conversation with his girlfriend is what puts you over the edge? That’s the smoking gun?

He was discriminating against black and Hispanic families for years, preventing them from getting housing. It was public record. - Kareem Abdul Jabbar

I don't think so....From the other cases....he just pays cuz it's cheaper.

Please read the old articles...he may not be a nice man.....but those players take home ridiculous paychecks. Johnson must have promised them bonuses....and the NBA is 2.5 mil richer.

Tell me no one is getting paid on the side.....and I'll tell you about his bridge for sale....

If words can be so bad..then words can be a capital offense fit for execution. ...really when does it stop..at a capital crime word?..just say it and you will be put to death..in fact just be accused of saying the capital crime work and no trial. .just taken to a tree and strung up.

I was on a business trip to Turkey in November 1992. When I arrived on Saturday, the press was buzzing about 5 members of parliament that said something offensive. By Monday, the parliament passed an ex post facto law making the utterances of those 5 a capital offense. They were executed on Wednesday. I flew out to Italy on Friday. It can happen. Especially with a government tilted in favor of Islamic values.

In the case of the recording, that could get the ex girlfriend in trouble, a form of wiretaping charges?

I do not believe, according to Rush Limbaugh yesterday, that Magic is really interested in buying the team.

The sponsors fled for a day or two. Adidas is back already, I think. Anyway isn’t most of the money from TV revenue?

Have anything to do with the NBA, from buying tickets to watching games on TV to buying merchandise to giving a damn about who wins and who loses, and you’re part of the problem.

I can't help but think Holder and his DOJ were involved in the leaking of Sterling's comments.. I'd like to know what media outlets were involved and how this was orchestrated so nice and with a big bow on top.. This all plays a bit too well into the thought police's hands, and timed to overshadow incriminating Benghazi info.. Hmmmm...

This leak was not just the act of a scorned black female.. No how, NO WAY. Something much bigger behind all of this. This stinks of a DOJ/Holder/Sharpton shakedown. ANOTHER shakedown in a series of many in the works.

NBA isn’t like the NFL, they get good money from TV, but not nearly as high a percentage, they could never function on just TV like the NFL could. And the TV networks get the money to pay the NBA by selling ads, without sponsors ratings mean nothing. One way or the other it’s bad press and nobody want the lead off story for every sports talk show being about how bad a person one of your owners is.
