How exactly can the Republicans block anything in the Democrat majority Senate under the new rules? The new rules you are referring to (I think) only apply to judicial nominations. The Senate no longer recognizes 60 votes to end debate for confirmation hearings.

How exactly can the Republicans block anything in the Democrat majority Senate under the new rules?I thought the POTUS said that he didn't need any of the peoples representatives, he will act with or without them, so go for it raise the minimum wage with an executive order, and why not raise it to $20, if $10.10 is good why not $20.10?
