Donald Sterling Reportedly Will Sue NBA If Forced to Sell Clippers
BleacherReport ^ | April 30, 2014 | R. Cory Smith

Like with any other situation that has arisen over the past several decades, Donald Sterling plans to do everything he can to keep his team.

After having the hammer slammed on him Tuesday, the current Los Angeles Clippers owner is set to fight the judgement from Adam Silver. The penalties handed down included Sterling receiving a lifetime ban from the NBA and being fined $2.5 million, and Silver said he will try to force the controversial owner to sell his franchise.

Sterling plans to sue the NBA if the owners do ultimately vote to force him to sell the Clippers, per Kevin Armstrong, Bill Madden and Teri Thompson of The New York Daily News:

Donald Sterling won’t go down without a fight, according to an NBA executive who is close to the disgraced owner of the Clippers, and will sue the NBA if the other 29 owners vote to force him to sell.

"The wheels are in motion to remove Sterling, a process that the executive said Wednesday night would lead to a lawsuit by the disgraced owner, possibly tying up the future of the team for years.

“He is not going to sell the team,” the executive said. "

Another source close to the situation also said, "He’ll sue and it’ll take years to settle," according to the report.

It might be interesting if Sterling had the background of Silver probed. I suspect there’s some incidents or predilections that aren’t ready for prime time there. The man’s resume looks a bit “light” looking at a well known law firm and at least one of its sponsorships. That might be far more damaging for the NBA’s reputation.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but he had every reason to NOT want his GF hanging around with Magic Johnson. Or any of his posse.

He DIDN'T say he didn't want "black people to come to games".

What he did say was, he didn't want her photographed with blacks and didn't want her bringing blacks to his games. And, when she tried to focus the issue by adducing a hypothetical photo-op of her with Larry Bird (who is white), he dismissed her as a "big fighter" and refused to engage the nub of the issue.

That said, may God damn the NBA commissioner and such owners as may vote to evict Sterling. This was a private conversation, unfairly leaked! Let's see how much money they can piss away in court!

SOME IMAGES MAY BE DISTURBING VIEWER DISCRETION IS ADVISED;-{

A disturbing coincidence in this case: Sterling, Rochelle Stein, his wife of nearly half a century, and V-Dot all went to the same high school!

Don and Rocky graduated in 1952, and V-Dot, aka Maria Vanessa Perez, in 2000. Too funny!

Don Tokowitz == Donald Sterling. And, yes, Sterling, like his hot gf, legally changed his name.

As I predicted. This tells you right here that no $2.5 million fine will ever be paid.

I swear as I don’t have any thing close to a law degree, I could defend this guy in court.

Step 1: Hire a black attorney.

My opening statement in the courtroom would be: “Your honor and people of the jury: I have no trouble saying that my client, the defendant has paid more and done more for the black community that anyone else in this room...”

Step 2: Get all recordings ruled in-admissible.

Since the lawyer would have already had the tapes ruled in-admissible in court, later on go with: “...we are dealing with a lawsuit based on illegal actions. I submit as evidence ‘A’ being the counter-suit now ongoing that we have with the company known as ‘TMZ’ for malice and defamation...”

Step 3: Get Ms. “She ain’t lookin for a broke ...” Golddigger on the stand to testify. And then lets talk character assasination.

Yeah, I’d knock this one out of the park. They might want to quietly settle with this guy and make this problem go away. And young Mr. Silver should also realized that his little money makers (and loud mouths that back them) won’t stop with Sterling’s scalp. What you have are ‘inmates running the asylum’, and its about to get out of control.

The timing of this release, and the target(s) is all too suspicious. My next prediction: Expect to see famed attorney Gloria Alred make an appearance soon.

It is easy to come to the conclusion he was set up. His mistress is hanging out with Magic Johnson, a man who got HIV cheating on his wife. (And another girl flashing gang signs in the picture).
He says he doesn’t like her hanging out with a younger but HIV infected womanizer, and black people in general.
He’s branded a racist and told he can’t go into facilities his team plays in or own the team.
Yet they did nothing when he was sued and lost for millions for not renting to blacks and Hispanics in multi-family properties he owned.
Who is one of the first prospective buyers of the team Sterling owns? Magic Johnson, who magically already has a billion dollars in backing. The same guy who was in the photo with his mistress that she tweeted and sent to Instagram. The same girl who was recording the phone calls AND had the information to send the recording to TMZ.

He may be a racist, but this looks like an orchestrated campaign to deprive him of a billion dollars worth of property.
No due process. No option to defend himself. No inquiry. Just a “make him sell it, now”.

Good!

He also needs to sue the tart he was a boinkin' for recording a private conversation without his consent.

THEN he needs to sue TMZ (or whoever it was) for publicizing a recording that was illegally obtained.

I think when you’re a public person and you’re at the center of a PR controversy this is how you get treated. He has to have known for a long time that his attitude doesn’t sell with the public and could be an issue, he got sued for this attitude by the fed 8 years ago and lost. He could have changed, or he could have learned to never express that part of himself, not to mention he could have not had a girlfriend and a wife. There were many paths to him not having this issue, he took none, the only question at that point was whether or not he’d live long enough to have it blow up in his face. Turns out he did.
