Taxpayers Spending $53K for Everyone Insured Under ObamaCare

Give it a little time and it’ll be $530,000. We’re heading down a rabbit hole with people who print money for a living.

Taxpayers will pay over $53,000 per each person newly insured under Obamacare, according to a Daily Caller News Foundation analysis of the Congressional Budget Office data.

The CBO predicts that on average, federal taxpayers will now pay over 95% of the total cost of the Medicaid expansion. Fewer than expected Americans who were already eligible for traditional state Medicaid programs signed up for coverage while programs received free publicity due to the furor over the Medicaid expansion, leading to a lowered estimates of the Medicaid costs states will incur.

The CBO’s findings on the total number of Americans who will receive new private insurance show that the health care law isn’t making much of a dent. By the end of 2014, the CBO predicts that there will be 42 million uninsured Americans; in ten years, that number will have dropped to 31 million without insurance.

And that’s a projection which doubtlessly will not hold up.

Part of that drop will can be attributed to public coverage — outside of private insurance, the CBO expects 13 million people on net to be added to Medicaid and CHIP coverage rolls by 2018.

Welfare America.

As far as the politicians in office are concerned, paying $53K per vote is cheap, as long as it's taxpayer money.

If they could, they'd gladly borrow $53 million per voter from China to buy enough votes to keep them in office for just one more election cycle.

Does the ABCNNBCBS media even acknowledge ANY of the flaws and errors in this abortive mess?

Are they that blind that NONE of these reports get through their collective (socialist) idealized stupidity?

Before Obamacare the ambulance bills and ER visits just went unpaid when judgment-proof debtors failed to pay. The hospital wrote them off and raised costs on those of us who could pay.
Now we’re paying for their ‘gas’ before they pump, while paying more for our own health care premiums, higher deductibles and for the health care itself since there are still plenty of uninsured and illegals driving up costs.
If that doesn’t make you angry, then you must be room temperature.

How much of that $53,000 is the feral government stealing to fund wealth redistribution?

I’ll say it again...

We could have just bought a policy for every last one of the uninsured for a tiny fraction of the cost of this monstrosity.

What the recipients don’t realize is that when they die, the government gets first dibs on whatever they were hoping to leave their children.

The problem is they use OUR money to bribe us... AND the medical care will be crap...

http://dailycaller.com/2014/04/24/analysis-obamacare-will-cost-taxpayers-53000-per-newly-insured/

When the costs of Medicaid and CHIP’s publicly-funded health coverage is set aside, the total cost of private insurance plans and related spending comes in at $591 billion through 2024. At that rate, the taxpayer cost of each newly added private insurance enrollee would amount to $45,461.

When the CBO’s estimate total net amount of newly insured — whether customers have private coverage, Medicaid or CHIP — are compared to the health care law’s total cost over the next decade, the cost per person is slightly higher at $53,192.
