Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-Wash.), the No. 4 House Republican, is walking back comments attributed to her that ObamaCare cant be repealed. But shes not the only one suggesting Congress merely make changes within the framework of the health law. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) says the goal is to get the law fixed. It seems many GOP lawmakers still havent read the law, or theyd know the framework is corrupt.
Even Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) speculated Friday that repeal is unlikely because it will be difficult to turn the clock back.

My brother, who was in the low end used car business, would refer to certain vehicles as needing “radiator cap jobs”, meaning that the radiator cap was the only salvageable part on the thing, i.e. you need to drive an entirely different car underneath it.

A recent article clearly demonstrates why the philosophy of the current Congressional Doormat Republican Party Leadership will insure that the National Republican Party will stay in the minority for decades to come.
Consider this quote from that article in reference to the Obamacare Tax Law:
- - - House Republican Conference Chair Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-Wash.) reportedly told the Spokesman Review editorial board [as much] on Thursday, saying the law is likely here to stay and the focus should be on reforming the exchanges to offer more choices and ensure that the newly covered can gain access to doctors. - - - -
The message to American voters is very clear:
All the counterculture Democrats have to do to fundamentally transform the United states of America into an European-Style Socialist Country is to ram through a very unpopular Law, and from then on the Republican Party will never revoke it, regardless of how much damage the Law, (and its various revisions), has damaged the United States of America.
IOW, it does not matter which political party a voter votes for, because whichever party gains control of the US Congress, the Oppression of the Federal Government will continue, unabated, to crush all who are TAXED ENOUGH ALREADY, for decades to come.
It is time, - - - time for a change.

Kick out three portions of the AFA and it will die.
Eliminate the minimum contract standards, allowing insured people to pick only the provisions that work for them. Senior citizens don’t need maternity.
Eliminate the individual and corporate mandates. No penalty for non-participants.
Eliminate all exempt buddy groups. Everybody gets to enjoy AFA coverage, including 100% of the population inside the Beltway.

"GOP foolish to think ObamaCare is fixable." The first two words are pretty much all anyone needs on ANY article dealing with The GOP.

For almost fifty years an unholy alliance between the medical industry, the insurance industry, and the federal and state governments has existed to create the administrative top-heavy monstrosity that existed prior to Obamacare but sorta worked. So to “fix” it, the government took it over outright. Yeah, that’s gonna fix things. Obamacare needs to be completely scrapped, tort and other reforms put in place, and the miracle of free market enterprise allowed to work.

Is a 2700 page Frankenstein Monster “fixable”? How many pages do we have to tear out until it’s huggable?

Leave it to the Republicans to ignore the political opportunity of a lifetime.
