Actor Max von Sydow is a good choice, but it is Disney after all...

If that’s her in the picture I have to say that Natalie Portman was definitely cuter!

Acting ability isn’t a top requirement in any Star Wars movie. Maybe Disney will put some songs in this one.

When I was in the 3rd grade I sat in a darkened theater. A stirring music, and then a small ship rushed into the screen pursued by a much bigger ship, with green and red lasers flashing between them.

I WAS HOOKED FOR LIFE.

And I hope it turns out well — but, and this is a big but... It’s Disney. I’m not going to hold my breath.

Don’t let Lucas anywhere near the building - particularly near anyone involved with the dialogue.

I recall my parents trying to convince me to see this movie when I was young (can’t recall what the movie is I wanted to see). We saw it in a drive in and like you, when that first scene opened I was practically clawing my way through the windshield to get closer to the screen. Nothing, nothing was like it. What a fantastic time to be a kid. Hooked for life indeed.

I know. Here’s a nice thought, though... no Jar Jar in this one.

Meeeesa hope not.

Brit actors and actresses are generally much better than their pretty-face American counterparts because their general involvement with Shakespeare and the stage.

You can say that again. I happened to be in Spain on business around the time that Episode 2 was released and just for fun I went to see it dubbed in Spanish, which I am not fluent in. I had seen the movie in English and found it mediocre. I was amazed at how much more exciting and engrossing the film was when I couldn’t understand the dialogue and only had the visuals, sound effects and music to go on.

I was so disappointed on the opening night of Star Wars. I had been reading science fiction about from when I was 9 or 10 in the 50s. A corny, childish, joke of a movie.

“Nothing, nothing was like it. What a fantastic time to be a kid.”

You bet! It was my childhood from then on. And I never outgrew it. When we finally got a VCR, the three movies we bought first? Star Wars, Empire and Jedi. Watched each of them a hundred-plus times.

A few years ago I read some young person said that the Matrix was “Star Wars for their generation.” No way! Nothing, nothing, nothing compares to Star Wars in the late 70s/early 80s to a young boy at that time. Nothing, nothing, nothing.

When I’m 80 years old I hope they are still making Star Wars movies. I’ll be playing the games, and watching the movies over and over, and loving it just like I did when I was ten.

I’m surprised. Most female stars use so much botox they look like they’ve been hit in the mouth with a baseball bat.

Then you saw the last 3 Star wars films and ack ack ack you wonder what happened, why did George Lucas do this to all the fans!

They cast the wrong people in the new movie. They look un interesting. No spark.
