In protest of the crowd-funding site’s “censorship” of his TV movie project about convicted abortion doctor Kermit Gosnell, McAleer commissioned a bold billboard near Kickstarter’s Brooklyn headquarters. Modal Trigger

“Kicked out by Kickstarter,” reads the giant sign, which was put up on Tuesday afternoon. “Gosnell movie raises $1 million … and counting! To the public — we say ‘Thank you!’ To Kickstarter — we say … ‘You Stink at Censorship!’”

McAleer raised funds for his last film, “FrackNation,” on Kickstarter, so the filmmaker didn’t think twice about turning to the site again for his latest project. But soon after McAleer and his colleagues at Hat Tip Films submitted their posting in March, he said they received an email from Kickstarter ordering them to remove descriptions of “thousands of babies murdered” in order to adhere to the “community guidelines.”

Instead, he took the project to rival crowd-funding site Indiegogo.

“CEO Yancey Strickler said recently that he banned us because the project description has to be PG-13, but that’s not true.” McAleer told the Post. “That’s an actual lie. This is Kickstarter not wanting to do something because of their political beliefs.”

The Gosnell film has been a smash hit on Indiegogo, raking in a whopping $1.5 million from more than 16,000 backers in little more than a month. It’s the most successful film project on Indiegogo yet, McAleer said, and e

Sad to see kickstarter supporting Gosnell.

It’s close but I think they’ll make it. Only 440k left to go and they have nearly 2 weeks

I am proud to say WE'LL make it. I did my little part to make it happen.

We should pause for a second and think about this. Who is coordinating the self-censorship campaign by intimidation?

I see a pattern emerging here. People being singled out and very publicly persecuted. My memory only goes as far back as the Mozilla guy, then the take down of the Clippers owner, Brandeis University cancelling a very prominant and effective critic of Islam speech, Reid’s attack on the Koch brothers .... Is there a tally list somebodies keeping?

This is brown shirt stuff without the physical knives and clubs and I’m beginning to believe that it’s being coordinated and escalating.

That is a worthy project. Perhaps we could begin with Robert Bork in 1987 and work forward.

That’s rather pithy. We expect nominees and politicians to meet resistance. I’m talking about more nefarious things.

Bork was about killing a nominee that could directly affect laws and politics. The things I’m talking about are the stomping on relatively ordinary people except for their public prominence.

Oh, and add Sharyl Attkisson to the list. There was something deeper their than meets the eye.

Atkisson is pretty easy to explain. Ben Rhodes is the WH guy who obfuscated Benghazi. Atkisson is fired for digging into Benghazi. David Rhodes is president of CBS, and directly responsible for firing Atkisson, and is the brother of Ben Rhodes. That one’s far too easy to put together. It’s the ones where the connection isn’t direct, like Eich, where the digging needs to happen.
