Taser was used on death-row inmate on morning of his botched execution

The inmate who died of an apparent heart attack after a botched execution this week was Tasered the morning of his execution, and doctors inserted an IV to administer lethal drugs into his groin after being unable to locate a usable vein in his arms, legs or feet, authorities said Thursday.

Prisons chief Robert Patton also disclosed in a letter to Oklahoma’s governor that death-row inmate Clayton Lockett deliberately cut his right arm before sunrise Tuesday and refused to be restrained or to eat any food in the hours leading up to his death.

Remembering his victim, and hoping it had a fresh, fully charged battery.

I’ve always thought lethal injection was too much of a medical procedure in appearance and should not be used for executions.

Hanging by raising the condemned up off the floor to strangle in the noose would usually be over in minutes but don’t even check the guy for half an hour. There would be no need to find a vein and they would need no fancy trapdoors.

It was not a botched execution. They tried to kill him and succeeded.

Yep. I like the way you think. Don't have to worry about this anymore.

A bit like the “botched” execution in the movie “The Green Mile”.

Monterrosa-24:" I’ve always thought lethal injection was too much of a medical procedure in appearance and should not be used for executions."

The fact that he beat the victim
The fact that he shot the victim and laughed
The fact that he shot the victim again (2nd time)
The fact that the victim was buried ALIVE and breathing, and he knew it.
I agree , he should have recieved the same tratment as he gave out !

Meanwhile the MSM is lamenting his death and not the victim’s.

Victim? What victim? You have to search high and low for the details of the innocent teenage girl he shot and buried alive.

I love a happy ending!

The only problem with this "happy ending" is that it will be used as an argument to end the death penalty as cruel and inhumane.

Ideally, we should bring back Florida's poorly-grounded "Old Sparky" which, every once in a while, caught people on fire.

Good for them. I don’t care how many times they tazed him. My sympathy and empathy is for the girl he raped, shot twice and buried alive. As far as I am concerned, they could have tied a horse to each arm and leg and then whipped the horse. Or sat him naked on a civil war era cannon and fired it.
