I-Team: Police faced possible 'bloodbath' at Bundy protest
8NewsNow ^ | 04-30-2014 | George Knapp

Metro officers deal with large crowds all the time, but nothing like this. The crowd included former military men and ex-cops, people with various motives, their fingers poised just above the triggers of powerful weapons. With so much firepower in so many hands, a small incident could have set off a bloodbath and left nearly two dozen officers dead.

Assist. Sheriff Joe Lombardo:"We were outgunned, outmanned and there would not have been a good result from it."

I-Team reporter George Knapp: "A lot of scenarios could have played out that would have left a lot of dead officers."

Assist. Sheriff Joe Lombardo: "If you just have a backfire, somebody pops a firecracker, then it's over. We're done. We are going to lose that battle that day."

"We were outgunned, outmanned and there would not have been a good result from it."

That's the way it's supposed to be.

I would doubt that Jenkins has a military history in his resume. I’m glad he has some memories of that day in the field with the cowboys. You know something exciting to tell his grandkids about back in the days when Americans carried guns.

We must remember, but not for Timothy McVeigh in 1995, Bill Clinton would never have been re-elected in 1996, and this “Bundy” incident came very close to being a crisis from which the Democrats could have greatly profited in the coming mid-term election.

The Oklahoma City Federal Building bombing was about the worst event at the worst time for conservative causes, which has always made me suspect some sort of false flag involvement by the government in the operation. Despite the John Doe 1 & 2 and the backflipping apology to CAIR the same morning from the White House, the meme of the 'bitter clinger white guy' domestic terrorist was launched, and the 'militia movement' was slammed along with ordinary gun owners in the media, a PSYOPS onslaught which has been relentless since.

A significant number of folks join their local PD and then decide law enforcement isn’t for them when they find out there are no more peace officer positions.

Don Corleone :"We were outgunned, outmanned and there would not have been a good result from it."

And tacticly out-positioned
with armed individuals in front of us , and in back of us
A war on two fronts, simultaneously, is a disadvantage , especially if you are surrounded !

Not as many as you seem to think. The BATF was surrounded on three sides from high ground. They would of been wiped out in seconds.

The government sent 200 armed agents against a family of 5 farmers. That's real even odds. Seems they didn't like it when the odds turned against them. Tyrants have that kind of cowardly streak. Happy to oppress the hell out of those who have no means of defense. Never let them take your guns.

A loud mouth politician/bureaucrat in Las Vegas was mouthing off about hoping the people standing against the BLM had their wills current and funeral arrangement in order. Asshole. The intent to inflict a bloodbath on Bundy's family was clear. Thankfully, enough armed assistance showed up to make it clear to the government tyrants that they were out of line. Their misbehavior would come at a severe cost.

"The comments lead me to believe that there will be no peaceful restoration of liberty in this country."

You are correct. Liberty is never given. It is either taken away or gained. Those people intend to take it from us. We intend to keep it. The 2nd amendment of our constitution is working exactly as designed. Liberty will be restored. We will simply have to work for it. Keep the faith.

"Doctor Franklin, what have you given us?"
"A republic, madame...if you can keep it!"

It's beyond a doubt that if it had only been the Bundys and a few protesters, they would have all been shot dead by "law enforcement."

Ordinary people are more restrained than the cops, because they don't think they will get away with murder.

........I may be wrong but I think it was “the feds” that provoked it all.........meaning if they hadn’t sent the goon squad in full SWAT gear with Tasors tasoring folks and shoving pregnant women around and instead left it to the local Sheriff Department NONE OF THIS would have happened.

Assistant Sheriff Lomabardo said as much and allegedly made the decision to turn the cattle loose. I don’t think he had to order the BLM boys to leave as burning rubber tire marks to the East are still on the pavement I’m sure.

Just spray the windows with oil or paint and disable the engine.

In the desert, expect well-braised LEO in about an hour.

"We’re willing to die for our country. We won’t let the liberals destroy the constitution and take our freedoms. I hope the tree of liberty doesn’t need watering with the blood of patriots, but I believe there are millions like those that showed up that day. Wait until several million walk on DC. I see that happening and am ready to go (I won’t take my guns snicker snicker and with that many we won’t need them)."

It is time for a million man armed celebration like Woodstock, only you could call it GUNSTOCK.....with music and speakers and organized in a peaceful way, but a Patriots version. The conservatives today are now the counter culture!

The sheriff is an astonishing oddity in our political system. Originally, he was the Shire Reeve; as in The Shire Reeve of Nottingham.

The most important point is they think the American citizens are the enemy.

Someone they are ok with killing if they can do so without risk.

They backed down to save their lives, not those of Americans.
