Will the DemocRAT Party take an election year hit on this? Probably....*IF* the Republican pansies don't pussyfoot around for the next six months and let the Rats refuse to testify, refuse to produce documents etc.. IMO, the Pubbies will allow that to happen. Remember who the House leadership is, who is appointing this committee, who has a near perfect record for backing down and making token gestures.
But "justice"? No. There will be no impeachment, there will be a token resignation, maybe two. But justice as a moral person defines it will not be served to these murdering scum. Not in this lifetime anyway.
This is a start, but until real results happen, that is all it is, a start. Flame away at my "negativism". Don't care. It's up to the Republicans to prove they have mysteriously grown the stones to actually do it. As evidence, I refer folks here to the pathetic fiasco of a Senate hearing on the Clinton impeachment. That was so embarrassingly fixed as to make one wonder if there was a tampon dispenser in the mens Senate bathroom. For any FReepers that are too young to have watched that travesty, seeing it happen was worse than anything you could read about it.

I sadly remember all of the undue excitement here on FR during such news on Clinton’s scandals. Are our memories that short? Has the new generation of patriots not old enough to remember that not studied it?
It kind of saddens me to put a damper on such optimism, but I cannot ignore the past. Those who do are condemned to repeat it.
