First it was AIDS from screwing monkeys, now it’s MERS from screwing camels?!!? Don’t these people have anything better to do with their free time?

Oh great, just what we need in Indiana. Why aren’t people going there, or coming back, banned from entry into this country?

Oh wait, they are muzzies.

It occurs to me that I don’t recall seeing discussion on prepping/prevention in regards to insect/rodent infestations and their associated diseases.

In a SHTF situation I would expect a serious increase in rodent populations and the diseases they host, not to mention the havoc they cause to food stocks.

I’ve always put the cut off ends of flea and tick collars in my vacuum bag and between the box springs and the mattress.

Do you know what a probiotic is? Bet not since this is a virus and you made that comment. These fad ingestions are silly.

So what’s the difference between MERS and bronchitis/pneumonia? The symptoms appear to be the same.

50% fatality rate is one thing.

The difference is the immune cascade that a corona virus sets off: Cytokine Storm. It would be good to stock up on D3 and Aceylcysteine.

Yes I do know know that probiotics are bacteria, and bacteria are quite different from viruses. However, probiotic are proven to bolster the immune system and that never hurts when something, viral or bacterial, is going around. Probiotics are not a fad. They are quite medically beneficial.

Thanks for the link. The explanation is helpful. I know of two people who passed away from pneumonia recently so I am a bit paranoid.

I have to agree about D3.
I caught a nasty cold in Jan which did go away but left me miserable. In March I decided to take D3 due to the cold weather and lack of sunlight. I only took it for a week. I felt fantastic. Then I forgot to take it because the bottle fell behind something. Meanwhile I was getting weaker and thought my time was near. First week of April I was hit with bronchitis. I could not breathe.

Now, reading about D3 and that it’s good for lungs, I wish I had not forgotten to take it. It could have saved me from all the hell I went through along with allergic reactions to the prescriptions.

I added zinc to my regiment along with the D3.

Bats, rodents and their fleas are still a vector for bubonic plague in the American west.

Sounds like Congress..

zinc sounds good. I’ll re-add it to my list.I used to take it when getting a sore throat. Haven’t had one in a long long time.
