People in the West have no conception of how savage WWII was on the Eastern Front.

The un-elected regime in Kiev is not going to be able to beat this meme.

It's now settled, world-wide perception.

For better or worse.

They are soooo toast.

Around 500 neo-Nazi supporters marched in Lvov

Therefore, the entire pro-Ukrainian movement are neo-nazis. Or at least that is the pig in a poke the Putin rectal remoras have been pushing on FR.

I would like to give an overall take on this subject, as I viewed a BBC (UK) documentary on the Galician Division about five years ago.

I understand, though I could have it wrong, that initially Ukrainians welcomed German troops in 1941. They thought that the Ukraine then could get rid of the hated Soviet. I then observed this analysis of what happened afterward. That the German invaders having been sniped at by unidentified opposition, then turned with savagery. This on the hitherto welcoming Ukrainian civilians. Again, before I get flamed, I am just repeating what was in the documentary. Ukrainians were then said to have turned against the enforcers of the German Army.

1,200 survivors of that division found their way to internment by the British at Rimini in Italy. A Soviet general with a hard face arrived and demanded of the British for the Galician men to be put in box cars. He wanted them back for reprisals including concentration camps and or execution.

Clement Atlee, the new British Prime Minister stepped in. The Galician Division where transported to the UK. Today about 200 survivors remain. They are spread over different nations. Brigadier Fitzroy McClain had some scathing words for those who wanted these old men tried on war crime charges.

I myself thank the good Lord, I never was in the position of many other people in WW2. War is hell. (American Civil War General)

Further to the information that I provided.

The Governor of the Ukraine stipulated to the German authorities a telling requirement. That no American or British forces were to be engaged by the Galician Division. Only against the Soviet army.

Persons here are lucky not to be my age. I am not talking down to Freepers here. The fear and hatred of Russia, when the heady celebrations died down, are almost unbelievable.
