You do realize that the United States invaded Mexico in a two year war and occupied its capital before dictating the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo, don't you? That's how we got California, Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada, Utah and Colorado. But Russia is expected to stand by and watch while NATO plants its flag and forces along its exposed western and southern borders. I doubt Moscow is buying that argument.

If I was Russia, I would be wondering why the US is expending so much money & effort supporting terrorists and unscrupulous folk in Russia friendly countries who host Russia’s warm water ports.
