Whenever you hear our dear politicians in Washington DC say theres nothing more to cut or that theyre just like us, let me give you a friendly reminder. As Breitbart reported after his jail sentencing, convicted ex-congressman Jesse Jackson Jr. (D-IL) receives $8,700 per month in government disability pay, as well as a partial federal pension of $45,000.
That generous $8,700 in disability comes thanks to Jacksons sudden development of a mood disorder as the federal government began looking to indict him. Jackson, who was sentenced to 2.5 years in prison, had no history of mental illness during his prior 17 years in Congress.
And I wouldnt be surprised if Jackson Jr. eventually gets a pardon from his Chicago buddy, Barack Hussein Obama.
I firmly believe the Congressional pension program needs to be reformed, right along with instituting term limits for Members of the US House and Senate.

Simply the DimocRAT ruling elite’s version of the popular SSI “crazy checks”.
Junior is a bigger crook than daddy is. I wonder how those two clowns would have survived all their life without government money.
No, it’s not like SSDI.
That would be in the range of $1,300 for an average earner.
This sounds like employer sponsored disability insurance, which would typically pay in the 50%-60% range of your normal salary, and usually for a specific period of time.
Jackson Junior earned about $175,000 as a Congressman, and 60% would be about $8,500 per month.
Still sounds like a scam, though.
I mean, what mental disease has EVER prevented an elected member of Congress from serving out his full term?
Perhaps going to prison is now considered a disease?
How laughably and sadly true.
Criminals beget criminals
I have had a mood disorder ever since Obama moved into the WH. Where do I sign up?
