That's as likely a scenario as any other at this point because, no, the Ukrainians haven't decided their country is worth fighting for, they've decided their country is worth killing their countrymen over.
I can assure you that those unarmed Ukrainians citizens being shot at by AKs on Friday were not thinking about the IMF or Monsanto or whatever when that was happening. The bodies were dropping around them and they had a decision to make. Run or stand their ground. They choose to stay. Basically all of them as far as I could see on the live stream. Think about that.
The thing you need to understand is that we or “the west” don’t get to decide for Ukrainian patriots what is worth dying for. They do.
