The current Administration has driven out many traditionalist Americans who serve in the military because of the pervasive PC atmosphere. The sort of young men - let's be honest - rural and small town white men, often Southern, who have been the backbone of the armed services since George Washington's time, will likely refuse to join. Why would they want to follow a career path in an anti- male, anti-white, anti-Christian military?

A military without heroes like the Alvin Yorks, Audie Murphys, Carlos Hathaways, and Chris Kyles will not defeat the Red Army. The remainder may indeed be weak in the face of adversity. They may well say, better Putin than Obama.

Well, good luck with your absurd theories that the American enlisted ranks support the Russian strong man, and won’t fight for America against him.

You guys are as crazy as you were in the 60s.

NATO has outlived its purpose, which was to defend Western Europe from Soviet invasion. Without that founding purpose since the early 1990s, NATO has embarked upon a rapid expansion to the borders of Russia and is now attempting to spread to Russia's southern flank along the Black Sea. In any historical context this is a provocative and threatening move, and a precursor to war. And no matter how likely or unlikely that war might seem at a given moment, nations must plan their defenses for an uncertain future. Admission of additional NATO treaty members has only increased the likelihood of unintentional war.

It looks like NATO is still needed.

I’m not sure how far Nato can go with Ukraine as they do not have the equipment nor manpower to take on ‘another war’....and.... protect the Baltic Nations and others in the area.

Further Ukraines ability to communicate between their military is all but obsolete....thus the problems they have in communicating without the world knowing what they are doing.

At the onset of this uprising, their Commanders said there was no way they could handle a war in their country for the vast number of years the Kiev Government failed to maintain the military, let alone upgrade anything.

Further Regarding Nato....the Member countries failed to alot the mandatory requirement of each nation to expand their military according to their agreements with becoming a Nato member....so the nations themselves cannot protect themselves. So they’re already depending on US Military to do so........

...In the past many countries also refused to send troops in other border issues or threats of war... which according to their agreements shouldn’t have been a choice as all were required to alot their troops.

Nato leadership itself failed to “ride” these nations to act on the agreements, so they’ve been left twiddling their fingers on what to do about the entire situation in Ukraine. Their all shooting from the hip..

Right now the USA is the primary actor in NAto in these countries, and it was agreed that America had to do more because they cannot.

It helps if you actually read the post. When the national government, such as ours, turns against the traditions of the nation, you cannot expect the population to support the government. Especially the portion of the population that has traditionally been the backbone of the services, in our case the white men from small town and rural America.

If anyone lives in a fantasy world, it is someone who believes the American military will function as it has historically under a treasonous administration.

Do you really think a demoralized American military would fight the way their predecessors did? I doubt it very much. The French Army collapsed in 1940; the Imperial Russian Army collapsed in 1917 and its Soviet successor almost collapsed in 1941. Low morale will take its toll. Unless you believe Obama is an inspiring leader on the order of Washington or Lincoln.

I got it, you are a total idiot about the American enlisted ranks refusing to fight the Russian strong man, Putin, you have already told me your wild fantasy several times, there is no usefulness in repeating it over and over.

You brag about being a sheepdog, but in reality you are a hyena. You understand nothing, so much so I doubt you could have ever passed an intelligence test to serve as a soldier or a lawman. You are just a keyboard commando, and a stupid one at that, devil anse.

The American military would support the United States and fight Russia, if that is the mission.

They are going to have stiff competition from the Islamic terrorists for ruling the world.

So you miss the old USSR too huh dale?

Vlad the Pootie Poot thinks the breakup of the Soviet Union was the worst thing that has ever happened, not he’s going for total takeover by expanding his rule worldwide via the Russian Empire.

The millions the Russians killed in the last century (mostly their own people and during “peace” time) will be a drop in the bucket if they gain the power Putin is going for.

Obama is all for it too, so your view point has powerful allies.
