David Corn: 'For Many Conservatives,' Benghazi Like a 'Candy Store,' But 'The Bins Are Empty'

This past week was the biggest in a long time for Benghazi news. How did some of the leading lights of the lefty blogosphere handle the Ben Rhodes e-mail and related topics? We report; you decide.

1. David Corn of Mother Jones, best known for bringing to light the Mitt Romney 47-percent tape, wrote on Friday that the Rhodes e-mail is "pretty standard stuff" and that "all the fuss about [it]...is smoke, not fire." Corn admits that the White House "certainly has bungled part of its Benghazi reaction" but that the Republicans' case nonetheless "should have been...closed, a long time back."

Corn wrapped up by suggesting that conservatives' obsession with Benghazi resembles an untreatable "virus," one that apparently makes them really hungry for sweets (emphasis added):

Woodward and Bernstein leading the cover-up of Nixon's Watergate.

The media is an evil propaganda organ of the Left.

But 'The Bins Are Empty'

Unfortunately, Mr. Corn, four graves aren't.

Yeah, except, Baroke Obama sat in the situation room and watched the entire event happen, start to finish. He, Baroke, allowed the deaths of four Americans happen, and had the power to stop the terror attack, and chose not to stop these murders from taking place.

Something took him from -3 to -11 over the past four days in Gallup. That 10 % that reacts to the daily news headlines must see something it doesn’t like.

I only know one thing,Benghazi would not have happened that way under a Republican administration without a full military response. We wouldn’t have a bunch of people sitting around saying ‘What does it matter at this point?’. We wouldn’t have a president who refuses to answer where he was and what he was doing during the whole thing. You would know. We wouldn’t have a Secretary of Defense refusing to answer questions about the whole affair. Republicans would be answerable for the whole thing. Democrats are not!

To a degree, the Left sees nothing in Benghazi because they want to see nothing in Benghazi.

At the same time, they see nothing in Benghazi because they attach no significance to the murder of four American officials in a foreign land. "What difference, at this point, does it make?" is an accurate expression of their disdain for the subject.

Four Americans killed? So what? David Corn and the rest...simply don't care. They really don't!

Well David, then why is the administration spending so much effort hiding the communications traffic and lying?

Obama sat in the situation room and watched the entire event happen, start to finish.

Obama was NOT in the Situation Room that night. He was doing debate prep or chillin' with 'Chelle and the girls, or shooting hoops, or taking selfies, or......something. We do know that he spoke with Hillary at ten o'clock, just before Her Heinousness released her first statement about the...wait for it................... VIDEO.

Truth is we really do not know where Obama was. I don’t think we can believe what that Tommy guy says, nor can we assume Obama was debate prepping. He was probably watching the whole thing and decided not to issue any order to save those guys.

This stuff we have been hearing could be more cover up.

I think it’s because they see people as expendable in pursuit of agenda. And justify it because they signed up for a job they know they could die doing.

Thus the Left has no problem//issue/remorse when they do. And since they got paid for their work, it’s merely the bad conclusion of a business transaction with no issue of morality involved. Ergo “What difference at this point, does it make?”

To them, none. Because others will fill the positions and the agenda can continue until a successful completion.

Yes, they DO think like that.

Barry’s boys, like Mr. Corn here, have been riding to Barry’s rescue a lot lately. Being a commie ass kisser must be a terrible life to have to live. Four Americans are dead Mr. Corn. Your boy did NOTHING to try to save them. Grow up!

I don’t think we can believe what that Tommy guy says,

Vietor is a loose cannon. How does it advantage Obama to NOT be in the Situation Room?

It advantages Obama because we all know that he gives the cross border order.

Truth could be he has all that is in the situation room in that big old bunker he had built under the White House.

If we are to believe this Tommy fellow, Obama was engaged though not in the same “situation” room Tommy was in.

We don’t have a picture this time with that tiny little Obama sitting in a corner.

That is what everyone thought, but it came out he was not. He was busy getting ready for his fundraiser in Las Vegas, which was more important then then a terrorist attack.

What you are thinking about is this

The WH has lost control of this. That Ben Rhodes email was never supposed to see light of day. Kerry is going to have to account for why it got “overlooked” before.
