Sen. Al Franken (D., Minn.) said hes been just about perfect as a lawmaker in an interview broadcast Sunday on ABCs This Week.
The former Saturday Night Live comedian was asked whether he would have anything to satirize about himself were he still in the humor business, and he replied it would be difficult.
When I would make fun of politicians, it was only because they were screwing up in some way, he said. I dont think I could find anything, frankly.
Reporter Jeff Zeleny asked, Nothing?
Whoo, Franken said. That would be a really hard subject to satirize. Ive just been impeccable.
One of the 10 most liberal members of the U.S. Senate according to the National Journal, Franken noted, laughing, he may have made some small mistakes. Perhaps among them may be his full flip-flop on NSA surveillance.

“And, darn it, people like me.”
Maybe,but as a senator......not so much,I think.
If he gets voted out he is still set for life with all the goodies the “little people” only dream of.
PATHETIC
Film At Eleven
That is his funniest line!
Impeccable? True, except for everything.
Did someone cut off his pecc?
Ya know,,,, I kinda got a kick outa Franken on SNL, and in Trading Places. He played the perfect a$$hole, and you just knew that he was playing himself. But he was pretty harmless in those roles. Now,,,, he just makes me feel ill.
He meant impeachable.
Still a comedian. Still not funny.
You can take the comedy out of the person but you can’t take the person out of comedy. He’s not lost his sense of humor. Maybe he’ll go back on the radio.
A peccary is a kind of pig. Maybe that’s what Al meant.
I’d like to hear him say: Officer...the cuffs are too tight.
He’s been a pecker.
If the MN voters were stupid enough to elect this idiot once, they’re stupid enough to elect him again.
i can’t stand that sick picture. It ought to be plastered all over his backwoods state until they are as sick of it as I am.
Funniest? I'd say *only* funny line.
