Franken: ‘I’ve Just Been Impeccable’ As a Senator (VIDEO)

Sen. Al Franken (D., Minn.) said he’s been just about perfect as a lawmaker in an interview broadcast Sunday on ABC’s This Week.

The former Saturday Night Live comedian was asked whether he would have anything to satirize about himself were he still in the humor business, and he replied it would be difficult.

“When I would make fun of politicians, it was only because they were screwing up in some way,” he said. “I don’t think I could find anything, frankly.”

Reporter Jeff Zeleny asked, “Nothing?”

“Whoo,” Franken said. “That would be a really hard subject to satirize. I’ve just been impeccable.”

One of the 10 most liberal members of the U.S. Senate according to the National Journal, Franken noted, laughing, he may have made some small mistakes. Perhaps among them may be his full flip-flop on NSA surveillance.

Epitomizes the phrase, “a legend in his own mind.”

Maybe he’ll go back on the radio.

Maybe he could get a job at Air America,
as a janitor.

Is AA still on the air? I think it ironic that a super liberal station would take the name of the CIA airline in Laos - Air America.

No, don’t believe they are, which is why he could
get a job with them.

I hate to agree with him, but he’s done damned-near nothing in office, which is in my mind, the mark of a great politician.

(Am I the only one who considers William Henry Harrison our greatest President?)

It is hard to be humble when you are a jackass.

‘Twas simply a misspelling...by a simpleton.

He meant “despicable”.

“If he gets voted out he is still set for life with all the goodies the “little people” only dream of.”

It’s a price I’m more than willing to pay if we can just retire Senator Franken! I’m still amazed he was ever elected in the first place, and some (myself included) doubt he ever actually was. Nevertheless, retiring him would go a long way toward making things right.

Having been to Minnesota and witnessed and experienced the highway crews working around traffic cones, he is a sexist pig. Only the men remove their shirt tops at 50 degree Fahrenheit temperatures. So there is a war on women after all.
