The Democratic Party, their Communist supporters, and a part of the Establishment Republicans reneged on their formal agreement with South Vietnam to provide the air campaign needed to once again defeat another major ground offensive in the event the North Vietnamese breached the ceasefire agreement to conquer South Vietnam.
