No more Bush presidents. No more mistakes such as this one.
Courage?
Translation: Do not oppose the interests of government.
In breaking that pledge he also forfeited his second term, saddling us with eight years of Slick Willy - and now maybe eight years of Clinton's communist wife.
“Former U.S. President George H.W. Bush showed courage in breaking his “read my lips: no new taxes” campaign pledge:
Yeah, boy—confiscating even more money from taxpayers to squander on more federal programs is a real act of courage.
No more Bushes—ever.
“Hey, thanks George for giving us the election in ‘92. Here’s a plaque.”
Ah ... The statists give themselves another award for oppressing the people.
How lovely...
Lowell Weicker got the same BS award for instituting an income tax in Connecticut which was "never going to increase and lower the state sales tax."
They gave their very first Profiles in Courage Award to then-Connecticut Gov. Lowell Weicker for having the “courage” to force an income tax upon his state’s citizens.
The more things change, the more they remain the same.
That’s rich. In 1992 they made that a sound-bite that swept Clinton into office.
They sure do like to give that award to failed politicians who get ousted for raising taxes.
You CANNOT FORGET Bob Dole’s(I DESPISE THAT RINO/GOP-e) FILTHY Fingerprints on this too!
yeah... ‘courage’
if he had any good sense he would decline
democrats honoring a republican who caved to democrat interests
George Sr brought about Clinton.
George Jr brought about obama.
Jeb will bring back a Clinton!!
All 3 praise the Clintons and obama!
“Courage” for the good of America would be democrats impeaching Obama.
Bushes/Clintons - Two sides of the same coin.
I was watching tv when Bush announced the new taxes. Speaker of the House was there with him,,, Tip? Bush said that he had reached agreement with the Dem House, and that every dollar raised would be used to reduce the deficit. Tip (?) was nodding right along. Instead, as I recall, the Dem house SPENT $1.84 for every $1 raised. Big mistake to trust the deems!
