Gene Robinson, the first openly gay Bishop of the Episcopal church, publicly announced he is divorcing his husband, Mark Andrew, on May 3.
The couple had been married since 2010, when New Hampshire legalized gay marriage. The union created an international uproar, and many Episcopalians broke away from the main church.
"As you can imagine, this is a difficult time for us - not a decision entered into lightly or without much counseling," Robinson wrote in a letter to the Diocese of New Hampshire. "We ask for your prayers, that the love and care for each other that has characterized our relationship for a quarter century will continue in the difficult days ahead."
The retired bishop left his wife and two children when he openly declared he was gay in 1986. He entered into a civil union with Andrew in 2008.
In 2012, the Episcopal Church voted to allow bishops to permit priests to bless same-sex marriages.
Robinson, 66, is currently a fellow at the Center for American Progress in Washington, D.C.
It figures the left wingers would happily grant him asylum in their beltway brothel.
Just another social club leader. Nothing Christian about the place.
Corrected headline.
HOMOSEXUAL, because there's nothing GAY about it.
RE: Divorces Husband (male)
Who gets to decide who’s the “husband” in this “marriage”?
see post #13
See top picture “husband” height and bottom picture “height”.
Think he divorced him cause he shrunk?
:>)
On the one instance we have Bishop Gene Robinson divorcing his ‘husband’ Mark Andrew. On the positive side (for Andrew and Robinson), they’re now free to satisfy their perverted carnal lusts with more than willing rump rangers. The Episcopal Church has become the home to LBGT perverts and child molesters.
In fifty years of searching, this is the only "gay gene" scientists have managed to find.
So the score now is one family abandonment and one divorce for convenience. Ordinarily, for a cleric, a divorce would be a career ender, But, it appears we’ve lowered our standards to the point that he’ll probably be congratulated or at least be offered support and all the counseling he can handle.
The drain draws nearer every day.
I wrote extensively about this when it happened and Gene Robinson is one of the most selfish people that ever lived. Not only did he abandon his family for his gay lover, he was willing to fracture the Episcopal Church over his own personal desires. Certainly don’t think heaven is in his future.
Hopefully, he has to pay alimony to both his ex-wife and his ex-husband.
A man can’t be a wife. A wife is female
