I haven’t seen your point made elsewhere. She referred to an “attack” attributable to Ansar al Sharia, not a protest. If Beth Jones knew this then her boss, Hillary Clinton, knew it. Good point.
A state Department email released by Congressman Jason Chaffetz during Thursday's Oversight Committee hearing proves the State Department was certain the day of the the Benghazi attack that it was conducted by al Qaeda affiliate Ansar Al Sharia. Congress has had the email, called “Libya update from Beth Jones,” since August 2013, but Chaffetz first received permission to release the email Thursday, leading him to ask during the hearing, “If the video was a cause, why did Beth Jones of the State Department tell the Libyan Ambassador that Ansar Al Sharia was responsible for the attack?”
