I have tried to set down some thoughts about Nathan Bedford Forrest in historical context with relevance to modern conservatism on my About Page if you are interested.

I just visited your page...You’ve been in Russia before? Fascinating. Though todays Russia has changed, the terrain is likely pretty much the same I would imagine..as some of the cities though more modern and developed.

Thank you very much! I will read it. I am one of his greatest admirers. He was a mans man for all time to say the least. I love what Grant said about him. It was something like “the greatest general on either side during the war”. This with no definable formal education at all, not even the first grade. But, you and I know, even saying he was the “greatest general” is an understatement. He may be the man that came closest to being “ABSOLUTELY FEARLESS” EVER to walk on this earth. Perhaps Alexander the Great would be his equal. I admire that in a man, regardless of his cause, and that is why I am such a great admirer of his.

So, yes I will absolutely read your thoughts on Forrest and will likely reply privately.
