Liberals remind me of the Germans in WWII.
Blissfully unaware and refusing to investigate that the smoke surrounding them and ashes gently falling into their children’s hair and alighting daintily on their tongues actually was people.
A scene in “Band of Brothers” had a very good depiction of this. After liberating a camp, the soldiers dragged the nearby townspeople at gunpoint to bury the dead. It seemed harsh to have all these elderly folks digging (all the young men were dead or still in the Wermacht somewhere), but people needed to be shaken from their complacency.
This is why I feel that anyone in the US thinks that the alphabet channels are news need to be slapped into reality, pronto.
