And under the new record system, he was counted as a deportation.

His attempting to come to the US is an act of love.

They only turned him away because he’s considered a “Conservative Mayor” in Toronto..bet if he were a flaming Commie they would have let him in, and vote repeatedly in the midterm elections

He should have declared that he was “gay” and that he was fleeing “homophobic violence”.If he had,he would have been issued a Green Card on the spot.

weird...

ICE can turn away a Canadian, who most likely had a passport or visa that allows him to enter the USA, but they just can’t seem to stop, turn away, or deport those crossing the border without one.

The citizens of the USA really need to think about who they are voting into office. We have people up there who want to keep allowing people to come into the country without any background checks.

He has publicly admitted to acts which are considered “crimes of moral turpitude” as described in the INA, in particular the use of cocaine and other drugs (as well as being busted for possession of pot in Florida, IIRC, which should have made him ineligible for entry right there). If the CBP agents are aware of this, they are required to deny him entry to the U.S. Very likely, having been made aware of the issues with his entering the U.S., he was given the option of voluntarily withdrawing his application to enter. Doing that, rather than being denied entry, may make a difference in the future if and when he decides to clear up his issues with the INS and CBP so that he can enter the US.
