Ive always believed that is exactly what happened..because Obama was down in the polls and he needed something big to make him popular again. I think his team thought that if they had some sort of hostage situation(Like what occurred in Iran) that he could do a swap and be considered a hero who saved a US Ambassador..I knew the Blind Sheikh theory made the most sense because for about a week there were rumors about it taking place but the State Department kept on half ass denying it, so I knew something was up then this happened and just made perfect sense
