Did I mention we’re in a desert and have had droughts for as long as I can remember. And oh year, hot temps too! But now they are going to blame what is typical climate in NM on Climate Change!
We have to act now before it’s too late.

1. It’s a hot-topic diversion (”hey! look over there”) for the real news.
2. They’re heavily invested financially and need to hold on until they can either get more power, indoctrinate another generation, or until they unload their investments.
3. Their investments are paying off, financially and/or power-wise.

Ask a MMGW fanatic that question. It's fascinating. The answer I get most is "global warming can cause warming and/or cooling in different parts of the world so 'climate change' is more accurate." The irony of their explanation is completely lost on them. They seem to think that if the average planet temperature (no matter which temperature) cools, then that is because of man made global warming too.
It's like debating a ham sandwich.
It seems like the borrowed some cheesy b writers from the sci-fi channel.
I wish they had focused on something that we could prevent, that is likely to happen, and would have dozens of great tech spin off from the research. Meteor or comet impact.
I didn’t realize how dumb the audience for the Sci-Fi Channel was until I noticed they changed the name of the Sci-Fi Channel to the SyFy Channel. Seems like their fans were unable to pronounce it, believe it or not.

Actually it is much worse, I have never known a ham sandwich to say anything stupid or not well thought out.
Have you heard of some 20+ yachts belonging to NYC limo lieberals sailing to the Arctic last fall to protest ice cap melting? They got stuck in ice they did not expect to find, most of the yachts were abandoned and lieberals saved by the icebreaker.
