Latvian MEP Tatjana Zdanoka urged her colleagues to support her motion to put the Ukranian radical group Right Sector on the terrorist organizations list, reports ITAR-TASS.

Would appease the Russians, and honk off the Obama Administration. Interesting...
It is indeed interesting to see this. Quite interesting.
I am surprised that the Latvians have done this being a NATO member, and given that their MEP is the one leading this...
Russia is on their border.
DC is a long way off, and the current administration can not be trusted to tell the truth about anything, or keep their own word.
Europe has proven by their actions that they aren’t interested in increasing their militaries.
They must feel they have been left hanging.
Perhaps they do feel like they have been left hanging. Don’t trust the anti-Midas touch (Obama)?
BTW... Market Watch, Prensa Latina, The Economist, and others all have news articles today dealing with Right Sector and Svoboda. The news on them is busting out...
said Zdanoka, who is from the Latvian Russian Alliance.
Shocking that a Russian stooge would request this...shocking.
They must draw a clear line between the political parties and the radical organizations.
“Then, she went on to state that it was imperative that the actual Ukrainians should be distinct from the Russian agents.”
lol
There is a NATO-Russia permanent joint council, as well as Latvian-Russian partnerships both inside and outside of NATO.
Yes, shocking, shocking, I tell you!
Please prove that she is a Russian stooge, and no more ad homs, thank you.
And given the aforementioned in the first part of this post, it isn't shocking that there is a Latvian Russian alliance.
She seems to have sent signal that a line must be drawn between legitimate political parties and the undesirables like Right Sector. Who believes otherwise? They aren't any more desirable than the commies still holding political positions in Ukraine.
Secondly, do you honestly believe that all the Ukrainian dissidents that are opposing Kiev are Russian agents? Broad Brush Stroke often? Hmmm?
I wouldn't doubt that some dissidents are backed by Russia, and I wouldn't doubt that there are “green men” in Ukraine, but I also wouldn't doubt that there are Ukrainian civilians opposing Kiev that have taken up arms, just as there are Ukrainian military, Ukrainian National Guard, Ukrainian thugs, and Ukrainian civilains that are pro-Kiev that have taken up arms.
“... it isn’t shocking that there is a Latvian Russian alliance.”
Absolutely not. Part of Russia’s strategy for re-Empire is using Russian speaking minorities as an excuse to intervene and illegally annex and foment instability so they can have a pretext to intervene.
What is shocking is that anybody would think that a Latvian RUSSIAN alliance member of an assembly would have any credibility in assisting Russia’s illegal intervention in Ukraine.
“Secondly, do you honestly believe that all the Ukrainian dissidents that are opposing Kiev are Russian agents?”
No. But we know from photographs and intercepted communications that Putin is talking directly with leaders of the insurgents and that there are Russian agents and specOps in Ukraine.
Do you support these Russians being there? I’ll take your comments on Right Sector more seriously, when you show your “deep concern” over this.
Wasn't the same Broad Brush technique applied to Ukrainians who revolted against Yanukovich, labelling them as "nazi"?
danoka profile on Wikipedia tells me she's from the good old communist stock, opposed Latvian independence - very lovely. Ukraine's got a whole bunch of them too. This Right Sector initiative was Moscow's idea, won't pass the Europarliament (probably. would be very surprised if it did)
Filthy 5th columnist, Latvians should have just dumped them at the border with Russia in 1991.
