Israel spies on the United States more than any other ally does and these activities have reached an alarming level, Newsweek magazine reported on Tuesday.
The main targets are US industrial and technical secrets, the weekly said, quoting classified briefings on legislation that would make it easier for Israeli citizens to get visas to enter America.
Newsweek said a congressional staffer familiar with a briefing last January called the testimony "very sobering ... alarming ... even terrifying", and quoted another as saying the behavior was "damaging."
"No other country close to the United States continues to cross the line on espionage like the Israelis do," said a former congressional staffer who attended another classified briefing in late 2013, according to Newsweek.
It said that briefing was one of several in recent months given by the Department of Homeland Security, the State Department, the FBI and the National Counterintelligence Directorate.

It always makes sense to stay current on your enemy’s moves; more then any other country, Israel knows this.

Instead of making excuses for actions against our country we should be focusing on purging our country of those that seek destroy us - starting with the current admin.

Agreed, but that is the core of the spy game—do it, but don’t get caught. We do it, and disinformation fed back to opposing spy networks can be just as important as the real thing. Perhaps the greatest threat now is the hacking of our computer tech companies stealing myriad secrets and other information.
I wouldn’t be surprise to someday hear from the left that NOT being a world leader means that somebody else is; hence, it may be more lucrative for us to steal THEIR tech, since they are more advanced than we are. How sad.
Silly, just because I have more confidence in the Israeli government than my own does not mean tear down the borders. My vote and yours will change all that, eh?
