(Reuters) - The White House said on Wednesday that it has seen no evidence that Russian President Vladimir Putin has pulled Russian troops back from the Ukrainian border, and said it wants a referendum on secession to be canceled, not merely postponed.

Putin is the more believable of the two.
Putin certainly commands more respect, and in the end that is what really matters if you’re a leader. Furthermore, Putin knows that empty words destroy credibility.
I believe he harbors great disdain for Obama. And for good reason.
Oh boy Putin is in trouble now, quick draw red line mac daddy is ready to draw another red line. That sure will scare the crap out of Putin.
