It was disturbing enough that a young mother filmed her abortion for the world to see. But what she said a month and a half later was even more disturbing. Sickening would be a better word.
As reported by the New York Daily News, Emily Letts, 25, a counselor for the Cherry Hill Women's Center decided she wanted to share a positive message when she became pregnant and had an abortion in November.
A positive message about terminating a precious little life?
According to Emily, I know there are women who feel great remorse. I have seen the tears. Grieving is an important part of a woman's process, but what I really wanted to address in my video is guilt.
Of course, they should feel remorse and shed tears. After all, they are mothers who have experienced the miracle of conception and who now carry a tiny little, defenseless baby in their womb. And of course they should grieve.
But in this case, they are feeling remorse for their own decision and grieving over their own actions. The pain is self-induced.
Thats why pro-life advocates urge moms to look at an ultrasound before aborting their children. The vast majority of those who do choose to keep their babies.
If Emily was motivated by love, she should have taken videos of the crying, grieving, remorseful, post-abortive mothers. How sobering this would be for others to watch who are wrestling with having an abortion because of extreme circumstances and pressures.
Emily, however, seems oblivious to a mothers natural grief, explaining, Even though they know 110% that this is the best decision for them, they pressure themselves to feel bad about it.
To the contrary, the truth is that years later, many women still question their decision to have an abortion, and they hardly need to pressure themselves to feel bad about it.
Yet theres more.
About 45 days after the abortion, Emily said, I dont feel like a bad person. I don't feel sad. I feel in awe of the fact that I can make a baby. I can make a life.
So, Emily is in awe of the fact that [she] can make a baby, that she can make a life. Is she also in awe of the fact that she can also take the life that she made? That she can make a baby and then kill that baby?
As for the moral basis of her decision, it articulates the narcissistic, me-first mentality of this generation. As Emily explained, I knew that what I was going to do was right because it was right for me and no one else.
Her little baby, robbed of life while still in her mothers womb, would certainly say to his or her mother: Mom, this may have been right for you although I seriously question that as your child but it was certainly not right for me.
Did Emily ask what was right for her baby?
In his important new book, Making Gay Okay, Robert Reilly points to testimony at the Nuremberg trials by Dr. Karl Brandt, Adolf Hitlers personal physician, who had been in charge of the Nazi regimes Aktion T-4 euthanasia program to eliminate life unworthy of life. He said in his defense: When I said yes to euthanasia I did so with the deepest conviction, just as it is my conviction today, that it was right. Death can mean deliverance. Death is life. He was hanged for war crimes in 1948.
It was perverse thinking like this that helped fuel the madness of Nazi Germany.
Reilly noted that in the book The Sacrament of Abortion, Jungian analyst Ginette Paris calls for new rituals as well as laws to restore to abortion its sacred dimension. Defending the right to partial-birth abortions during a US Senate debate, Senator Barbara Boxer assured her colleagues that mothers who have aborted their children by this means buried those babies with love.
Reilly then observes, If abortion is love, then, indeed, as Dr. Brandt said, death is life.
Emily, there is nothing positive about abortion, and the miracle from God is that you can be part of making a life, not taking it. Death will never be life and abortion will never be love.
9th... Circle... Of... Hell.
” don’t feel sad. I feel in awe of the fact that I can make a baby. I can make a life.”
So she is cognizant of what she really did. She knew it was a baby. She knew it was a life. How horribly sad. And she is so proud of what she did. She rightfully knew that she would be celebrated by many. Heaven help us.
“I can make a baby. I can make a life”
The monumental egotism and evil self promotion of this woman is unbelievable.
You don’t make a life. Life is a precious gift from God. You can protect and nourish the baby God gave you or you can choose to kill it.
Or worse, you can choose to kill your own innocent, unborn child and then put it on a video for millions to watch.
She is the worst of the worst
Emily should be sentenced to pass out the popcorn during 100 screenings of “The Silent Scream” while providing a running commentary ala ESPN football announcers.
The audience should consist of pregnant women contemplating abortion, women who have had abortions and are proud of it, women who have had abortions and regret it and adults who survived an abortion attempt on them while they were in the womb.
Perhaps after watching it 100 times, the horror of what she has done and advocates so vigorously for will sink into her narcissistic mind.
Hell must be in another dimension—outside matter, time and space, or, it would fill up eventually with evil bitches like this one.
Maybe I could refer her to my girlfriend’s liberal son-in law and daughter as a nanny. They would love this baby-killing harpy.
The death penalty would be too kind a punishment for this truly evil woman.
But she is now the face of the abortion movement. Make no mistake, these people are evil. This video (I will not watch it because I refuse to watch snuff films) may wake a lot of fence sitters up to the holocaust that is going on under their noses.
This is truly the face of evil.
I wonder how the “father” feels. She is one sick chick.
Go over to the Guardian newspaper where they’ve broken out the champagne glasses for this atrocity. She’s not the only sickie in the world.
Like I said on another related thread this person is a psycho killer. No getting around it. How else can one *know* it was a baby inside the womb, but *still* kill it regardless? What other way best describes her? It’s insanity!
I feel bad about killing others so I’m going to make a video of me killing others. Sure. Makes perfectly good sense to me.
This woman is so broken in her mind.
And now that very women the decision was made over in Roe vs Wade is pro-life the whole way and a Christian.
The Ghost: "How dare you laugh about it? Give me my boy. Do you hear? I don't care about all your rules and regulations. I don't believe in a God who keeps mother and son apart. I believe in a God of Love. I want my boy and I mean to have him! Michael is mine, mine, mine for ever and ever!!"
The Shining One: "Nothing can be yours by nature."
The Ghost: "What? not my own son, born out of my own body? Michael is mine."
The Shining One: "How yours? You didn't make him. Nature made him grow in your body without your will... Even against your will. You sometimes forget that you didn't intend to have a baby then at all. Michael was originally an Accident."
The Ghost: "Who told you that? [recovering herselfj It's a lie. It's not true. And its no business of yours. I hate your religion and I hate and despise your God. I believe in a God of Love."
- C. S. Lewis, "The Great Divorce"
Yep. Doesn’t even pretend that it was a “mass of tissue” or a “fetus”. We have taken a big step. That is what “progressivism” is all about. One step at a time into oblivion.
she can’t “make” a life.
she can’t get pregnant all on her own. she can’t just will life out of nothing.
and she doesn’t “make” life. God makes life. God knits together the baby inside, she doesn’t do one single conscious thing in the physical construction of that other person.
She provides a safe environment that allows time for that other person to be born. She can make decisions about what she does, that may or may not impact the baby, but she doesn’t make sure the baby gets a certain amount of a nutrient just at the right time, or tells the cells of a certain area to now start growing more, and halting other areas for a set time.
this whole notion of women can create life is not scientific and not biblical. they provide a nuturing environment for life to grow, but they aren’t the grower. God is the grower. They don’t make life with their own thought, without anyone else. A man is the planter. Can’t do it without a guy somewhere being involved.
the feminists have warped this into goddess worship. they may convince some women to take that life but they don’t make it.
It would be best if she never gives birth to a baby, if she does her mind will shatter with the truth of what she did. She looks like an opportunist — “Look at me! Look at me!” This is what our society has become especially for women. I hate to think of what comes after this.
I wonder if she had a dad in her life? I know her mother was MIA.
We live among ghouls! Scary times.
