If true, this could be a HUGE development.

Meanwhile, Lavrov made a very public call "the immediate halt of army operation against people in Ukraine"

The link in the article to Lentu gets a Error404 response.

From the Lenta article:
... the militia was able to “open” the border in the Luhansk region between Russia and Ukraine for free movement of people and vehicles.

In parallel, in the last week of the militia group, 20 people managed to destroy several Ukrainian radar thus depriving the Ukrainian army control over part of its airspace.”

First I have heard of this. Several tweets have noted that there have been “a few” attacks on Ukraine border outposts, from the Ukraine side, in recent days.

I have to say this Putin fellow is quite the tactician. He's running circles around the West's Security apparatus.

But I think he's making a strategic error in that eventually the West will wake up and he'll be over-extended.

Anyone notice the parallels to the US partition of Serbia?

PR genius.

Also, with this source being in Kiev I find it particularly interesting that they mentioned Odessa is under blockade.

Blockade from what?

I am 100% certain that if Ukrainian armor rolls into Odessa the Russian armor will roll through the streets of Kiev.

A peace keeping force with troops from Russia, Belarus, Armenia, etc. Well that’s one way of skinning a cat. Sounds so much better than occupation forces.

I have been noting that since this began.

“But I think he’s making a strategic error in that eventually the West will wake up and he’ll be over-extended.”

That assumes “The West” isn’t led by a pompous idiot, that is trained as an agitator. There is NOTHING in Obama’s background, or the backgrounds of those around him, like John Fraud, that has prepared them for a situation like this.

The usual demonization and Alinsky tactics aren’t working against Putin, who could care less about being called a racist in the US Media.

I was thinking of Europe, Germany, France and Poland specifically.

But then Germany seems to have lost its pride.

“But then Germany seems to have lost its pride.”

The enviro nut Greens forced Germany to tie its economic future to Russian gas.

Liberalism is cute until someone steps up to take advantage of your own stupidity.

We are in same boat. We have drawn down European forces for decades. To reestablish, we will have to abandon Iraq, Afghanistan, Asia, etc. None of which will go well.

Just for us to meet his new aircraft & ship maneuvers, it will cost us billions that we don’t have. That doesn’t even take into account Shinseki’s restructuring our military to fight small unarmored insurgent forces.

Also all of our equipment in Afghanistan must travel thru unsafe routes in Pakistan or Russian territory to get out.

Anyone think retiring the A-10s was a little hasty?

It would be but Kiev isn’t interested as i see it. They don’t care how many people are killed in this...they have an agenda which overrides anything to do with Russia other than fight....and that using the people of Ukraine to pull that off.

This is all taking on the very same actions and happenings as was seen in Kiev’s protests....fire everywhere...burning tires...blockades...and yet the Kiev Government is sending their military to kill these people...yet the Maidan insisted the Gov, then, not use guns or armorment on their protesters. Even though police were being set on fire and being shot at.

Those currently in Kiev government are NOT going to yield as they consolidate their power...and this without representation of the Russian community. How can they say they want an election but beat up the Candidates representing the Russian populace?

"The enviro nut Greens forced Germany to tie its economic future to Russian gas."

Well, after all gas is cleaner than nukes or coal!

Germany once dominated the European coal industry.

quote-fire everywhere...burning tires...blockades

Most of that is from little green men terrorists
and their terrorist supporters...

When they can’t hold on to a blockade they set tires
on fire as they run away, makes beautiful pr pictures...

....”Samantha Power’s brazen hypocrisy:
The media swallows U.S. propaganda whole. Here’s the truth about Ukraine — and what it shows about American power”....

Amazingly even Salon is getting it....who’d of thought they’d finally see the truth in Ukraine....so you might want to consider reading this...might change your mind on what you ‘want’ to see in Ukraine to what ‘IS’ happening in Ukraine.

I don’t agree with it all...but Salon has uncovered enough of the lies the media is feeding this nation not only concerning Ukraine but the US involvement in what’s happening there.

Wrong...the anti-kiev protesters are now setting tire fires when they know the Kiev army is approaching, in order to keep them away from their communities....the same Kiev did to keep the police away.

But you’ll believe what ‘you want’ instead of what’s factually being reported from the ground...and that no matter what evidence is shows the obvious.
