yup sure do.

This is like the equal ay. It already is a law signed by president Kennedy in 1963. Every 10 years they bring out to have an issue to bash conservatives.

In fact they get more than equal treatment. They get bi lingual teachers if they don’t speak english and tutoring if their lack of english puts them behind.

... the Obama administration stated that under federal law, school districts "are required to provide all children with equal access [emphasis added] to public education at the elementary and secondary level."

Patriots need to make it a habit to check everything the federal government says and does against Congress's constitutional Article I, Section 8-limited powers. Regarding Obama's reference to the Equal Access Act for example, please consider the following.

With all due respect to the family and supporters of the late President Ronald Reagan, please take note. Although Reagan was a conservative, he wrongly signed the Equal Access Act into law imo.

Equal Access Act

This is because, while his intentions were good, Reagan failed to acknowledge that states have never delegated to the feds, via the Constitution, the specific power to define policy for intrastate schools. (Even flag-waving conservatives cannot be trusted to have a grip on the federal government's constitutionally limited powers.)

In other words, probably the only reason that Constitution-ignoring Obama is trumpeting the constitutionally indefensible federal Equal Access Act in conjunction with illegal aliens is to foster potential support for Democrats from such aliens.

Plyler was used as the precedent when the court overturned Prop 187 in California.

I don't think residency or citizenship played a part. It was property taxes, paid either directly or as part of the rent

(for clarity)

“On Thursday, President Barack Obama’s administration issued new guidance to schools, emphasizing that they cannot discourage citizens of Mexico from enrolling by requiring proof of legal status.”

A simple situation. Is the US obligated to educate every child in the world?

” Is the US obligated to educate every child in the world?”

No, but there can never be enough useful idiots coming out of our Marxist moron mills called “schools”. They make good brainwashed voters.

the Obama administration noted that schools "can violate federal law by requiring Social Security numbers or birth certificates when a student wants to enroll," but they can be compliant if they "instead ask for proof of residency in a school district, which a family can do with an electric bill or copy of a lease."

No birf certificate and no stolen SSN? Just like you Obama.
