Democrats struggle to win over skeptical Americans on Obamacare

Barack Obama and his Democratic allies in the Congress have grown more confident in recent months about their ability to use the president's signature healthcare law as a draw rather than a liability in this November's midterm elections.

The president has urged Democrats campaigning in the November 4 congressional elections not to run away from "Obamacare," but instead to "forcefully defend" it. Obama has said that a surge in enrollment shows the system is running smoothly now, after its disastrous debut last October.

But while Obamacare may now be working better, national polls clearly show more people disapprove than approve of the law.

SIGNING "THE BIG EFFIN' DEAL" (now known as "The Big Effin' Debacle")

"Those Democrats leering over my shoulder owe me bigtime.
The healthcare bill insures we get a permanent Democratic majority."

" All except those Tea Party types, swallowed hook, line and sinker my promises that they could:

(1) keep their existing health plans,
(2) keep their own doctors that they like,
(3) keep their 25-year-olds on the family health plan,
(4) never be denied coverage for a pre-existing condition,
(5) sign up instantly on my tech-savvy government Web site,
(6) buy insurance only after becoming seriously ill."
(7) save $2,500 in annual premiums in the bargain....
(8) All without any new taxes."

"Them sonovagun Tea Partiers will rue the day they criticized my wonderful bill."

Obamacare is just one of tons of failures of Obama and the Democrat Party!!! Obamacare, Fast & Furious, The IRS scandal, The Bengazi scandal & lies, the lousy economy, no decent paying jobs created, the growth of the non-productive Obama welfare state and freebie handouts, the failure of “government education”, the destruction of African-American jobs & economy, and now......the hidden, planned, killing of our military veterans by VA Adminstator, Shinseki and Barack Hussein Obama!!! Shucks, this list could go on and on!!!

And...Obama’s nutcase Democrats want to boycott....the Benghazi select committee....idiots!!! Ya know...only the forced resignation of Obama/Biden by the Democrat Party will save them from political devastation come, November, 2014!!! So.......let us all get out and vote in November, 2014 to totally destroy the entire Democrat “Traitor” Party that is working so hard every day to destroy the American economy and the nation itself!!! VOTE to save America from Obama, his Obamabots and the low life Democrat Party!!!

“Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.”

They’re trying, as they always do, to convince us that we don’t see what we see.

The important part isn’t that more people oppose the law, it’s who those opposed are.

A big chunk of them are the big labor unions, and that spells trouble for the Demonrats in November.

Couple that with the unions being pissed off at Owebama over his blocking the Keystone pipeline, and the Demonrats may get slaughtered in the November elections.

The “surge” was just a tit-for-tat. Replace canceled policies or Medicaid

And I bet most of the previously uninsureds:

Many haven’t paid their premiums

Will drop the policies once they realize it doesn’t subsidize any costs due to high deductibles and co pays.

A ClusterEff if there ever was one

The bigger the lie, the bigger the double-down.

socialized medicine needs socialized doctors, nurses and other healthcare workers

so far haven’t seen masses of them yearning to become govt employees

so if that is the goal, by next year we will need to see large numbers of American doctors (or something less than doctors that will be tasked to provide frontline medical care) impressed into serving govt patients for whatever the govt thinks they “should” be paid

I am 66 (today, in fact—Happy Birthday to me...) and covered via Medicare but my wife is a few years younger and has an individual policy here in NJ with United Health Care (Oxford.) The policy is up for renewal on June 1st. The old premium was $428/month with a reasonable deductible. The new premium will be $1122/month with a $2500 deductible.

No matter how much Obama and his sycophants spin it, the above scenario is hardly an endorsement for Obama, his plan, or the democrats who supported it. Period.

Obamacare is NOT working,.,,the website is working.

People are still having to pay much more to receive inferior coverage to what they were kicked out of.....they just find out faster from the website just how much that is.

I beg local dumbles to try to run on the shining examples of glorious zerocare...the images of slackers living in Mom’s basement sucking on her policy until they are 26 just make themselves powerful ads.
Peple staring in disbelief at the terms of their policies and $12,000 deductibles should be more powerful than some slacker getting his policy for $28/mo.

By all means.,...run on it....

A$$holes.

Taxpayer Tab for 4 State Obamacare Exchanges: $474 Million and Counting
Sunday, May 11, 2014 10:31 AM

By: Sandy Fitzgerald

Four states that spent nearly a half-billion dollars in federal money to build their own state Obamacare exchanges are facing a tough decision — collect even more federal dollars to salvage their websites or transition over to the federal exchange, scrapping the sites and throwing away the money that has already been spent.

Currently, the federal system serves 36 states, more than the federal health care reform plan had expected, reports Politico. But the sites for the states of Massachusetts, Oregon, Nevada and Maryland are all considered failures, and the government must either write them checks to give them a second chance, or for less money include them with other states that use the federal website to service Obamacare plans.
