Okay, you proved it. Now how is anyone ever going to know who did this despicable thing? Will it be trotted out every time some rogue nation wants to blame America for every evil on earth? I’m thankful that you went to the trouble of finding the other times the picture was used, because that image has fueled my anger and resentment over the horror that Amb. Stevens withstood. Now I’m relieved that perhaps he did die from smoke inhalation. Not nearly so horrible a death.

That pic has been debunked a hundred times here. But I don't think Amb. Stevens' death is in any way diminished because he died in agony from smoke inhalation. He was found still alive, barely, several hours after the attack. The videos of the locals removing him from the building show that by the absence of fire and smoke.

Sean Smith was perhaps more fortunate for having died in the safe room with Stevens within the first half hour. The effects of smoke inhalation are horrible and to have it drawn out for three or four hours is horrifying.

As far as who did it I think everyone knows that now. Ansar al Sharia. One of them bragged about it in a Benghazi cafe to a reporter.
