He's got the order of doing things wrong, but I hope he's willing to make good on that. Seems that most of the upcoming generation is kinda indifferent on that.

Kind of a mess. He is 25 has a kid out of wedlock, didn’t finish his degree....not exactly what I would want in a candidate. But since I am not in the district...I will wait to see what those folks say.

The premise of the movie was that a young rock star and his groupies managed to get a very young person elected to congress who introduced legislation to reduce the voting age to 14 and the qualifying ages for elected officers reduced, IIRC, to 18. The rock star is subsequently elected president and the baby boomers take charge forty years early; with predictable results I might add.

I was in Vietnam when the film was released so I am of that generation but never became radicalized because by the time I got to college I was already grown up with four years of military service behind me.
