Rep. Kinzinger: Why Didn't US Send Help During Benghazi Attack?

Why the United States did not send military support when American service personnel were under attack in 2012 at the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya, is one of the primary questions Rep. Adam Kinzinger said he wants answered from the House select committee's investigation into the incident.

When officials did not know how long the attack would last, Kinzinger told Fox News' "America's Newsroom" on Monday, he wondered "why the military was not sent, when there was this seven-hour span between the first and second attack."

It was one thing, Kinzinger said, if the administration "tried to put assets in place and just couldn't get there in time." As a military pilot himself with the Air National Guard, he said he found it "especially offensive" that forces were not sent.

This is a question that should have been asked a couple of years ago and congress should have persisted in getting an answer. Shame on congress for not getting to the bottom of this for the sake of the families.

Yep. If Obama and Clinton claim to have known a timeline in advance they are toast. If they claim to not know a timeline and denied support they are toast.

Lets watch the Dem spin machine on this.

Source: http://nation.time.com/2013/03/13/things-might-have-turned-out-differently-in-benghazi-if-general-biden-had-been-in-command/

Last week, Senator Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., wondered why no U.S. military assets were ordered into action the moment it became clear the consulate was under serious attack.

“Did you ever suggest that we deploy any military asset quicker than 24 hours?” he asked Army General Carter Ham, chief of U.S. Africa Command.

“I did not,” Ham responded. “I considered, but did not request, the deployment of fighter aircraft.”

Countered Graham: “Did anybody ever ask you, `General Ham, what do we have to get to the aid of these folks quickly?’ Did anyone ever suggest that we use an F-15 or F-16 to buzz the compound once the ambassador was found missing?”

“Not to my knowledge, sir,” Ham responded.

How about finding out why we were at the annex in the first place? To give weapons to the Syrian rebels or getting back our weapons from the Libyan rebels? Either way, Lucy has some ‘splaining to do....

Uhmmm,,, because it was a secret CIA operation to smuggle ManPad missiles to the Syrian wing of Al Qeida through Turkey.
That’s just my guess.

And a lot of the shame goes to that c of c loyal, boner. More interested in amnesty for his employers than working for the American people

We can’t be running around with our consulates getting attacked, unanswered, apologetic to the enemy for it

I’ve heard more in one day every day about homosexual activities than I’ve heard from our employees, the government, in a year and a half on Benghazi

John boner and his people need to go away in shame

We expect this from the dems

Is it possible the attackers had an arrangement with the White House that they would not be attacked by the US or her allies?

Kinzinger is a military vet (Air Force) and among the young guns currently butting heads with the former ‘60s and ‘70s “activists” presently in power. There’s a BIG transition going on as the protest era idjits slowly slip into retirement and irrelevance and people like Gowdy, Cruz and Kinzinger move up into power. The next few years are going to be VERY interesting.

Same reason the Iranian embassy staff were told to just surrender rather than fight back and why we didn’t send them any help either:

It’s gotten to the point where politics is more important than American lives. It’s apparently far better to sacrifice our own citizens rather than risk upsetting foreign governments.

________________________________________________

There you have it!! They had arranged a kidnapping of Stevens with their Al-Queda cohorts in munitions smuggling thinking they could trust them in yet another diabolical plot, this one to kidnap Stevens. It might have worked except for the unexpected intervention by the former SEALS who then made their plan look like a double-cross to the Al-Queda. No way did they ever plan on providing any resistance to their kidnapping plot. Now they are obfuscating any attempt to capture the Al-Queda operatives who still think they were double-crossed and they would likely reveal the whole backstage plot if captured alive. Also in the background behind this diabolical plot is their MB friend Morsi who wanted the Blind Sheik sprung in exchange for Stevens release. If the truth finally comes out, it will indict all the main players in Obummer's Administration.
